Because they make up a tiny, tiny minority- less than 0.25 of the population

Is there a mainstream social democratic party yet?

Beta was talking about forming one.

Widespread Judaism is a bit out of place in Elizia, is it not? If your party stayed empty with just one MP and 100 to 150 people signed up to the Senate, Jews would still be overrepresented in parliament, I believe.

Of course. I tried getting around that with a little bit of history meddling, but for the most part this is just a game.

Yeah, you ain't lying there. I see mergers coming along soon.

Possibly, but looking over the various platforms, I can't see any party that the Liberty Party could reasonably merge with or any that we could reasonably form a coalition with, without dramatically watering down our platform.

Yeah, but for the sake of the RP it'd be better if you joined an existing one. Social democracy, for the most part, doesn't really exist in Asia, at least not the kind you see in Europe or Anglophone countries.

The fact that we are having all of these parties pop up is a good sign. Some will survive and others will die out, but it's a healthy part of the process. There were a lot of parties at the start of Calaverde as well.

Then you're going to get left behind then. Sometimes you have to compromise on things whether you like it or not. I suggest then being independents may best suit you if the party doesn't take off.

Radicalism has a place in politics. Sometimes compromise can be evil, like Chamberlain's compromise with Hitler. Sometimes you need to put your foot down.

Not when you are a few. If there were a lot, then yeah. I am RPing as something different this time but, we'll see what happens.

No, what I'm saying is that we have the right kind of parties now.

I've decided that I won't be participating in this iteration of NSGS afterall for various personal reasons. Feel free to rip off any aspect of my Elizia Liberty Party that you want to for your own parties.

The App thread is up, folks. Yes, you need to re-apply: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=381848

Database, Lobby, and Misc. RP thread will be up within a couple days (Brit and Zurk are in charge of those). We also have one admin nominee waiting in the wings, and the other has been contacted.

I guess I won't either, unless people are really interested in starting a doctrinaire libertarian party. I didn't plan on joining anyway.

Or you could, you know, RP outside of your views.

God forbid your libertarian purity score go down...

I agree with Collatis- do something completely different from what you believe. I'm RPing as a Buddhist eco-socialist party, for god's sake.

I tried that once and well...the Front happened.

I'd like to try to roleplay as a left wing senator, but god no one would take me seriously IC or OOC.
