She looked down at the book she had been reading, before looking up at him again. "So, Simon, where're you from again? I don't remember you telling me."

It seemed to have gotten dark out by now. Wow. We sure did talk for a while. "Erm... Do you want to go inside? Can I get you a drink?"

Simon stood up, sniffing. He took his jacket off, revealing a grey "ABBA" t-shirt that seemed a bit big for his somewhat thin frame. "Ah, be warned, I'm not one for drinking alcoholic beverages, so don't expect me to share a bottle of anything with you," he said, smiling down at Ava. He pushed the door open and held it open for her.

Ira was inside the bar, staring out the gaping hole in one of the windows caused by the television the prior day. She took a sip from the glass of water she had, sighing.

Ava was outside, again seated on the bench. She appeared to be thinking about something, her brows occasionally furrowing.

Alexi walked inside, staring at his phone, before looking up and over at her. He grinned. "Hey, hey, Ira! Hey!" He walked over to her, smiling down at her. "Ah, my old friend! It seems like too long, yes? Ah, what a grand chance to see you here!"

Ava would probably hear her phone make an alert sound, presumably from her getting a text message.

"Ah, yes." He sighed. "Well, I moved to Siberia a few months ago. I hadn't seen Adi in a while, so I decided to take life into my own hands. Armed with only my trusty Kalashnikov, Boris, and my fishing rod, I fished and made a meager living selling it all at some town to the south of where I was. I even sent some to Ava and Dom! Before they broke up, that is. Ah, but my maiden in shining... Erm... Elf skin, I guess, came and rescued me! Or, well, basically got me to come back home with her. It was a nice existence, though." He sniffed, thinking. "Yes... I should do it again sometime."

Simon stared at the words on the screen, and smiled. He held the phone to his chest and sighed happily, blushing. The man sitting next to him looked at him with disdain, and Simon remembered where he was. Simon was sitting in the waiting room of the city's impound lot so he could recover his vehicle and hopefully get it fixed. It was going to cost a lot of money, but he wouldn't have any other way of getting around without it, and he much disliked using public transportation. Simon stared back down at his phone, sighing, and slowly slid it back into his coat pocket.

Ira frowned. "Seems an odd job... Fish don't seem to appealing to me, personally. They smell odd. Either way, however, I'm glad that you're back," she said, smiling.

Ava stared at the screen for a long time. She sighed, wondering what exactly she was getting herself into. Though, she couldn't help as the faintest hint of a smile appeared on her face. She stuffed the phone back into her pocket and closed her eyes, leaning her head against the back of the bench. She didn't mind that it had already gotten dark out.

Barboneia wrote:"Ah, yes." He sighed.

"As am I, Ira." He smiled, although it seemed to fade as he looked down at her clothing. "Ah... What are you wearing? I've not seen anything like it before."

The rather pleasant silence of the city would quickly be shattered by the sound of a siren in the distance, and pretty soon a stylish sports car could be seen speeding down the street the Bitted End was on, while a police car was in hot pursuit, blaring it's lights and sirens.

Ira looked down at her blue kimono and white sneakers. "Oh, this?... It's a Japanese kimono. I originally acquired a few upon arriving here. I thought it would help me blend in, but then I quickly learned that the Japanese don't wear this anymore... Now I just need to get some Western clothes..." She smiled, giving a sheepish shrug.

Ava opened her eyes, startled by the sound. She looked off in the direction of the sirens.

Ava opened her eyes, startled by the sound. She looked off in the direction of the sirens.

Alexi stroked his chin, nodding. "Kimono? Interesting name..." He shrugged, and smiled. "Well, it looks lovely on you, none the less. Although... Not to be a critic, but the shoes don't really go well with it," he said, chuckling a bit.

Suddenly, the sports car made a loud screeching sound as it spun around in a U-turn, driving the way that it had just been coming from. The police car wasn't able to react in time, and braked quickly, but instead of turning around it spun out of control and crashed into an electric pole across the street from Ava, bringing the vehicle to a stop. The sirens were smashed in the crash, and the street went oddly quiet once more, save for the tinkling of the car's engine and the chatter of the radio inside of it.

Alexi jumped at the sound of the crash, and looked outside. "Hey, hey! Did you hear that?"
