The compound itself was also guarded, however, with two guards equipped the same as the previous one standing on either side of the main doors. They both duck behind a couple of parked cars in front of the facility, and open fire on the Reils.

They scatter yet again, one of them waving his hands in the air... shortly afterwards, it sounds like there's gunfire coming from behind the guards. Turns out it's just an illusion, but generally one can hope it distracted them long enough for another Reil to throw a gas bomb over there.

One of the guards looks confused and turns around to cover their flank, while the other continues shooting at the Reils. He quickly stops to reload.

Kyrati eats her vistim slowly, knowing it is unlikely she will be discovered.

The guards stare at the car in shock, before one of them gets riddled with bullets and falls to the ground, dead. The other one drops to the ground and throws his weapon down, putting his hands over his head. "Alright, alright, don't fuckin' shoot, I surrender!"

"Then maybe he shouldn't have cared about his job so much, yes?" He says, snagging the gun from the ground and tossing it to one of his squadmates. "You aren't fooling anyone with two brain cells to click together. What kind of 'medical facility' needs this much security?"

"If you're looking for the labs, go down the hall and to the right, to the elevators. Take the right one all the way down. And try not to kill too many workers, please? It took the janitorial staff a week to clean the blood out of the tiling."

Torr enters the building, through the roof. Why or how doesn't seem very apparent at the moment. He groans, muttering, "sunuvabitch..." while struggling through rubble in the basement.

Saren looks down at him, blinking with confusion.

Torr looks up at him, then says plainly, "move somewhere safe."

The leader struts forward and knocks on the door, sighing with annoyance. "I'm here to inquire about your power source!"

The door opens and a man in a blue jumpsuit steps out, rubbing his eyes. "Aye? What 'bout it?"

Eventually, Kyrati finishes eating and leaves the bushes where what little is left of her victim lay. She then reactivates her armor and returns to the Wallaby to reclaim her weapon.

Ira walked in, carrying a large clear umbrella. She twirled the umbrella and then folded it, inadvertently splashing droplets of rainwater everywhere around her. She looked around, and sighed, before moving to the sofa. The television seemed to be showing a rather bland soap opera. Ira stared at the TV with disinterest, before moving back to the bar area.

"Media on Earth is never interesting," she grumbled.

Kasat is cleaning a mug at the moment, and shrugs. "It depends on what you're seeing, really. I, for one, really enjoy 'Wake Him With Stick'. Have you ever seen it? It was pretty much the only thing we had to watch in Chaskovite."

Ira slowly turned her head towards Kasat. "Wake Him... With Stick? I'll bet that's a mentally stimulating program," she said with a confused look. "Geez. How bored are you people?"

Ira shifted her attention to this fellow. She raised an eyebrow. "And what might your home planet be? You look rather human."

"Where is it? We're... workers from the producer. Just coming to make sure it still works, quality control-type stuff."

Ira slowly turned her head towards Kasat. "Wake Him... With Stick? I'll bet that's a mentally stimulating program," she said with a confused look. "Geez. How bored are you people?"

"Oh, it's great. Karloff Veraniif, adventurer extraordinaire goes around the work pissing off wild animals, strong people, and all sorts of things by poking them with sticks!"

Did you know that you no longer need to dial up for minutes on end in order to access the internet? Simply amazing!" He quickly ate the chip, and looked Ira up and down. "Judging by your appearance, I'd assume you are one of the Doulas? I've met another one of your species, he who calls himself Omad, what a fine man he is! And I am sure you are as fine as he is. So, it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, ma'am."

"Yer goin' ta blow it oop, ain't ya?" He bah'd. "it's on the fekkin' level 'fore the labs. Don' know what blowin' it up gon' do, though, it ain't nuclear er anythin'. You'll just cut the power to the buildin'."

Kyrati comes inside, holding her weapon. She unpacks it, sits in a chair, and starts polishing the metal part of it.
