"Biological Obsolescence is the price you pay for dysgenics. The liberal narrative of historical optimism only holds water if selection pressures remain intact alongside technological progress. More intelligent people make more intelligent machines which require more intelligent people to operate. Doesn't work so well if the moment you get more intelligent machines, and we're talking steam looms here - nothing special, you use them to try to beat Malthus. Of course, you can't beat Malthus, Malthus always wins in the end, you merely blunt humanity's advancement through lifting the floodgates on a dysgenic explosion while the highly intelligent specimens left over from the boom days allow for runaway technological advancement which eventually turns round to lap biological advancement. The result, if the process is left to continue, is out-competition by a superior species of our own making. That is Social-Humanism, not airy-fairy philosophy, that is the consequentialist argument for ""Agonocracy"" the realisation that all the successor-ideologies to Christianity amount to a surrender of the species in the struggle for existence."
