Many suspect that our obsession with armor and defensive tactics, combined with our extremely fast technological progress, is at least partially due to us being effectively "Corrupted" by an extremely powerful anomalous being known as "Iris". We did not even know what the concept of gender was until rather recently. Most Aeiouians are genderless machines. Though amongst the biological populace, we do have slight matriarchal leanings.

Naming customs depend on which ethno-linguistic group you are from. Most nations use 'Western' customs (IE first given name, middle names, and family name from the father), Hungarians have father's family name first and given name last. Ruthenes have a given name, a patronymic name (variation of the father's name) and then family name.

Nukes mostly fill the slots of conventional weapons nowadays. Our arsenal of nuclear warheads are predominantly loaded onto cruise missiles and put aboard warships.

In the Unhallowed City, there was a small contingent of humans that devoted themselves to advancing technology. They got swamped by Demons and Fae looking to get a slice of the new pie, and the whole project came crashing down when the Archmage caught word of it and hired up a few warlocks to deal with the mess.
