Winston cleans the last glass. He had always been a faithful man, faithful to his wife, to God, to his work. The Gavel is empty. He gazes across the room, seeing absolutely no one, hearing no sounds, except for shuffling coming from outside. The door to the bar was locked, but he could still hear the scratching, sometimes pounding, on the door. It had been like that for a couple of days now. Ever since the last MP left the bar, he had heard screaming coming from outside, so he shut the door and locked it. The screaming ended after awhile, and all he heard now was shuffling, scratching, moaning and the occasional banging on the door.

Winston was quite optimistic about the situation. He tried calling his wife, she didn't pick up. Must have been out grocery shopping. Called his best friend Alejandro, no pickup. Must have been out hunting. Oh well. He'd have to contact them later. Winston was quite content to stay in the bar until someone else came along. The consistent sounds of scuffles and moans were getting boring. In fact, Winston saw no reason to keep listening.

Naturally then, of course, he opened a drawer behind the bar, pulled out a .357 magnum revolver and promptly blew his brains out.

Hooray for Winston.
