"Mr Speaker, many members of both the Democratic Left and the Liberal Democrats have been vocal in their support for gender equal boardrooms and yet the Prime Minister presides over an almost exclusively male cabinet. Is this sick hypocrisy by the government a sign of their distrust in women or do women just not want to associate themselves with the champagne socialists that run the coalition?"

Mr. Speaker Minister Prime Spoken Minister, has your Government ever taken an official stance on Adrian autonomy? If not, why? If so, what is it?

The FDP benches erupted in noise. "You haven't answered the question" called Matilde from her seat.

"Prime Minister, my constituency is mostly rural and the main economic activity is farming and they make up much of that exported from the area as well as providing the food for hardworking families of this country. Many of my constituents have this past week have become concerned with the recent revenue raising bill debated. Specifically the plan for a 4% export import tax and the Land Value Tax. They are worried that in a industry with very small profit margin if any at all and with both the US and the EU having agricultural policies that favour their own producers they will be pushed to the wall. Will the Prime Minister be able to commit to a policy of exempting all agricultural produce and materials used in farming from export and import duties and exempt land registered for agriculture from the Land Value tax? This would be a welcome break for hard pressed farmers many of whom are self employed on small and medium farms and who make up a large part of the workforce not just in my constituency but across the country. They welcomed the U-Turn by the government on the payment of maternity pay so will the government be able to give them similarly good news on this issue and keeps costs down for both farmers and at the end of the chain consumers?"

"I would like to thank the Honourable Member for his question. As we all know, farming is an important part of our country and of any country. Farmers are, essentially, the world's oldest kind of small businesspeople. This government is committed to small business and as such, I can declare that Calaverdean agriculture will be exempted from the tariffs. They should not be left behind.

The Land Value Tax, however, there will not be an exemption. As all land owners pay a small rate, it would not be fair to exempt a farmer when other property owners pay."

"As an MP for an Adrian constituency, let me inform the Prime Minister of the situation on the ground. Our people do not want to leave this great nation, we do not wish to split ourselves from the rest of people across the sea. And yet how do you expect these views to be properly voiced if we cannot be trusted to manage some of our own affairs? How do you expect the Adrian people to react when we are patronised by a Prime Minister who refuses to voice our concerns? You do not speak for the people of Adrius Prime Minister, and the continuance of your attitude and government policy can only cause an inevitable split between our two peoples. If any member of this house is against this, if any member of this house joins me in my concern, then I urge them to join me in opposing this government. Will the Prime Minister continue to split our beloved nation apart?"

"Mr. Speaker if I may address the comments of the member. What the Right Honorable member of the opposition seems to fail to notice, is that there is an egregiously short list of women in this chamber overall. Speaking as one of the women in the Prime Minister's Cabinet, I'd simply ask why the opposition believes this is? Is it simply because we suffer a crippling gender bias and deficit in Calaverde? Or is the Prime Minister willfully taking the shoes off the feet of women, forcing babies in their arms and locking them in their baking houses; to be bare foot, pregnant, and in the kitchen once more? For if it is the latter, I'd like to announce my general admiration of the Prime Minister for being able to command so many barefooted women!"

"Please, Mr. Rodriguez, please! Adrius is a part of this nation as much as any other region. We are a small country, regional autonomy is not required! Adrius is not neglected by this government, to make such a statement would be a disingenuous lie! Every region has it's concerns sir, these concerns are addressed accordingly. As I just said, Adrius has it's own Minister, it's languages and culture are protected. I have not seen a massive movement for autonomy like you claim exists. There are some who are advocating for special treatment for Adrius, for their own cynical ends. I believe Adrius is an integral part of our nation and your kind of rhetoric is what drives peoples a part, not this government's policy!"
