"I feel that at this time, as this is the first revenue bill, we should focus on building all small businesses in Calaverde - including co-operatives. Small businesses will benefit from a special 15% rate of tax, which includes co-operatives run by hardworking Calaverdeans. I think that we could definitely look into promoting workplace democracy in the future, but right now, we should focus on raising the revenues we need, in a fair, progressive and straightforward manner, to invest in Calaverde."

"Well seeing as these taxes will directly harm my banks profits, which are not that high in the first place. Many like myself will simply open up holding companies elsewhere and keep our profits out of country. Until the taxes lax up corporations will seek to avoid these taxes, and if co-ops are funded by the government I will simply walk out. That is simply ill-done and I would applaud any government minister willing to step out with me."

The current rate of tax on corporations is more than reasonable. 22% is in fact the median corporate tax rate world wide. http://taxfoundation.org/article/corpor ... world-2014

I vote NO to this obvious attempt to extort the Calaverdean citizens out of the full percentage of their labor value, this infection known as the INCOME TAX. If the opposition had any sense, they would implement a more just tax such as the land value tax.

Although he though that Senator Balthazar Abaroa's version was better, Michael said AYE, seeing as he still thought that the normal bill was good.
