Some people like nsgs solely because of the realism though.

If that was true, we'd still be designing Baltonian Traffic Ordinances.

Some of us like to be boring. We don't all want to be special pagan fascist/communist snowflakes. And Dragay won the vote fair and square, regardless of whether Murk and others like it or not. Stop complaining and try compromising for once; a pagan population of about 15-20% seems fair. Why can't we just all be satisfied with that?

It only won because of the stupid and convoluted voting system we used.

Also, you're going to RP as Monarchist, even if we don't have a Monarchy. You're a special snowflake too, buddy.

Shit, I'm RPing as a moderate compared to my actual political beliefs. How am I a special fucking snowflake? People are always bitching about how boring and centrist we are and how the nation always turns into a middle-of-the-road liberal welfare state... I decided to help change that. Fuck me, right?

You're basically bashing social democrats and other moderates for RPing according to their real beliefs and trying to maintain a realistic setting. They have every right to do that. Not all of us think it's fun to play at being a fringe lunatic and throw all realism to the wind; some players enjoy a more realistic feel. The key is compromise, but that's something no one here appears capable of doing. We get it, you think the centrist parties are boring. You don't have to remind us every five minutes; let them RP as they like, and they'll do the same to you.

There's nothing wrong with your approach. Do whatever the fuck you enjoy. But don't start bashing people who prefer to do things differently to you and they will hopefully show the same courtesy. It's not hard, people. Live and fucking let live.

Working on/doing industrial espionage on an economy thing as we speak. Likely unofficial.

See our proposed histories. My rough history or Heraklea's history accounts for a significant pagan minority. Maybe not 35%, but larger than 10%.

If you want make the largest political party (RSP, openly pagan) only representative of 10% of the population, then you're giving WAY to much power to the boringists.

We could also say that the pagans are followers of aliens who stopped by Placeholdergaard after building the pyramids.
The New Sea Territory wrote:
The history should come first. I like Heraklea's history.

We should have at least 15% pagan population, though. Otherwise, the Boring Alliance will take over and the roleplay will die.

Remember demographics do not change how the roleplaying will go along. 10 percent is a large concentration of people, it's not like by not having 35 percent you can't have pagan political movements and whatnot.

The largest political party is openly pagan. The demographics should reflect that.

You don't have to be a fringe party to be interesting. If centrists actually did something different for a change, it might be better.

Maybe we could shift the political spectrum like the US, where center is not really the center, or something.

Then we could add some cultural practice that is horribly illiberal but is so common that only radicals oppose it?

Just...anything that makes Placeholdergard unique.

So I just did some theorizing. If we have any location in the general area, I'd go for this one. It's nice, dandy and looks good. Any objections?

Also, found a map. Possible use?

How about this: We keep the decided name, and we keep the decided amount of pagans too? And then everebody shuts up?

As for centrists/boring: Well, the Viking Party is quite centrist although with a slightly populist touch, and who call vikings boring? Besides, I personally found the Fascist Party to be boring and not at all what I had expected, that's why I changed party, but that doesn't mean I don't think the fascists should be a part of the senate. Boring or not, you're still allowed to play the game. I might perhaps find it bland, but other people clearly doesn't, and who am I to ruin their fun?

As for realism, well, a certain amount of it is of course desired, but again, this is a game, not a documentary.

The problem is, the election was not for the name but for the location. And most people dislike the name "Dragay." For the pagans, any ratio is fine.
