Given that this may cause personal bias (I'm not accusing bias against anyone, I just feel that we need to take extra precautions), I propose that we have a popular vote on all important positions, like this one.

I would tend to agree, but the bill required the admins to appoint someone.

Two more to make me consider it. You need 15 if it's to be binding on me. If it gets 8 I will probably ask Brit to state why he believes extra debate time is needed and give him half an hour to do it. If he convinces me then I'll allow it, if not go to vote.

Well considering I am a criminal justice student, I figure I could judge some things.
