I was thinking to make a policy polling agency and I'm trying to figure how to best do this for the RP. On the one hand, I could just have each player make a single response and just use that data as is. On the other hand, part of the analysis of those polls is breaking down information about the respondents and analyzing how backgrounds affect opinions, and we are skewed heavily towards male demographics. Anyone have any thoughts on how to balance that out since our population is probably far closer to fifty-fifty split in the sexes?

Not really, if a type of law is not legal then it's judgments are not legal and firstly nobody has to follow them and secondly any enforcement of supposed judgments would possibly be crimes. Sharia court rules man must pay $10,000 say. The court has no legal power to do that and if it' tries to take it it is committing theft. Court orders a prison term then enforcing that would count as kidnap and illegal detention. It can't operate unless it's made legal as it's breaking the law with every judgement otherwise.

Illegitimate governments aren't criminal when they aren't resisting the government they're under. At worst they're not recognized, at best they're left alone. If the police went after every club with their own bylaws, our prisons would be more packed than those in the United States.

For the city court, and trials in which there are city prosecutors and what not, I think that would be ok. Is there more depth to this?

But all tribunals in Calaverde are answerable to the High Court of Appeal, which would throw any ruling based on religion out the window in a heartbeat, without as much as a hearing.
