Didn't we have a bill that was supposed to stop this? I remember sponsoring an amendment from Lykens which was supposed to extend weapons ban to all capital buildings - or is that still in the queue?

It passed. If someone alerts Boris, he can have the offender arrested.

I think we can safely assume that police would take into custody someone who was brandishing a weapon in a prohibited area, even if they don't have orders from their superiors.

My description wasn't fully accurate. He can order the prosecutors to, well, prosecute people, but the prosecutors would have to get the police to open a criminal investigation first.
