By a vote of 5-0 with 1 abstention, the WA votes to accept and endorse a coalition with the DL, LDP and RefP. Thank you all for making your opinions heard.

Glas, I understand your concern, but I do not believe our goals or principles will be sacrificed by working with the RefP. It is more an agreement to govern together, to discuss our many different ideas for moving forward and working together to do what is right for Calaverede. With the LDP and DL as well as ourselves, I think we can safely say that the voice of the working class will be heard in this government.

All who can, I encourage you to go vote in the coalition thread for the inclusion of the RefP. While we have declared our support for the inclusion, the coalition must still finish its decision making process by democratic vote.

It is a governing one.

I'll be starting the votes for a number of items, these being reforms to how our party works, on the upcoming Saturday. I hope all who can participate in this will do so. Also, there are a number of bill being voted on right now in the Senate Chamber. Please be sure to vote before the deadline for that passes, which will be 2:00AM Thursday 25th.

Deputy Prime Minister and WA member Victor Cederanu stepped into the HQ with some files under his arm. Crudely drafted idea's and diagrams containing his idea's. Slapping them down on the table he began his pitch to his fellow party members.

"For those of you happy with the status quo or you wish to maintain the neoliberal capitalist, multiparty democracy then perhaps none of what I say will be that appealing for you. But there are my policy idea's to push the country down a path of drastic social and economic transformation"

"First, I propose an in depth investigation into the monetary system with eventual reform of the monetary system. At the moment we are tied into the globalized capitalist economy where private banks sell debt, creating debt out of thin air and adding it to more numbers in a computer screen. Should private banks have the right to create debt money out of thin air and lead to periodic down turns and debt crisis'? Also what are the current levels of debt for Calaverde? An investigation should also take place, perhaps some of the debt we can declare illegal and write off? I believe we must do what we can to challenge the international system of predatory capitalism controlled by the international banking cartels"

"Second, what are the current rates of inequality? Perhaps we should look at measures such as a maximum wage and some economic and wealth redistribution. I believe that to lead by example we should refuse to take half of our yearly salaries and instead donate the other half to trade union and labour movements as well as other community projects that will help kick start a more social economic model for the country"

"Thirdly political reforms are also part of the vision for transforming society that would harness more people power and grass roots groups to get people on the streets, engaged and enthused to transform society. Eventually devolving power and redistributing political power down to the people"

"Addressing the environment is also vital. This system currently in place has no regard for the environment and is leading to the ruination of the planet for the short term profit motives of corporate shareholders and CEO's. Under this system workers and people are another resource to be exploited just like the other life and eco systems which are becoming severely stressed that if this system continues to be permitted to rape the planet then civilization itself will be in peril"

Victor Cederanu waited to allow other WA members a chance to give their input, hoping to generate discussion on paths Calaverde could take in the coming future.....

Am I allowed to make some comments? I'm not a member of the WA but I just want to point out that Calaverde already has a minimum wage and our system of welfare and progressive taxation does contribute positively towards income equality and the redistribution of wealth.

As for the first comment I believe you're talking about positive money?

Not Minimum wage, I meant "Maximum" wage, so that the upper classes are directly tied to the lower classes, their maximum wage can rise in synch with rises to the minimum wage. That way the upper classes also have a vested interest in ensuring minimum wage rises and the wellbeing of the poorer members of society so that they are able to see rises in their maximum wage... Instead of the current system where we have a minimum wage that many people are stuck up while the elites heap more and more profits onto themselves further becoming disconnected from the rest of humanity, until they live in such a fake bubble built on obscene levels of finance that they use it to covet an unfair political and economic advantage, eventually manipulating the state and society to continually feed into this bubble at the expense of everyone else. Too much wealth is unhealthy and leads to a parasitic false system that is putting humanity at risk. The current set up of global capitalism and class should be challenged, exposed and then addressed.

As for positive money, well if that is one of the alternatives we can all discuss in greater depth, not even positive money but any other alternative economic and monetary systems, or a synthesis of a whole lot of other good ideas?

After internal discussions and negotiations with the leadership of the Democratic Left, our two parties have agreed to join ourselves into a union of common purpose in the form of a new party: the Social Democratic Alliance. Please head over there and check in, comment on the proposed platform and make any suggestions you have for improving the new headquarters. Thank you.
