This act involves the accessibility of cheese to people in poverty or financial strain, to make cheese of all kinds as equally accessible to the upper class, as it is to the lower and middle class. This way, people of all kinds can have cheese as our forefathers intended it. This bill as well as pertaining to the accessibility of cheese, involves the regulation of the sale of cheese and the production of cheese.

Definitions:
• cheese- the curd of milk separated from the whey and prepared in many ways as a food
• edict- a decree issued by a sovereign or other authority
Purpose:
• To make cheese accessible to all.
• To increase morale of citizens (with cheese related activities.)
• To ensure that all people whether they are upper, middle, or lower class can have the same cheese related opportunities.
• To increase cheese market and boost economy.
• To put safety regulations on what can be put in cheese before resale based on approved substances from a government based cheese safety board.
§ 1 – Cheese Accessibility
• No individual, organization, corporation, etc. may deny a citizen the right to obtain or participate in, cheese, cheese related activities or events, producing cheese, etc.
• If a citizen of Calaverde is denied the right to cheese, or a cheese related product, activity, or the production of cheese, the individual, organization, corporation, etc. will be punished fiscally to promote equality in this country, and those surrounding us.
• If a citizen of Calaverde is denied entry into, or participation in, or application to, a play, movie, or any other public occurrence, for their usage or consumption of cheese, that individual, organization, corporation, etc. will be punished fiscally.
• If a citizen is denied a job opportunity, or interview, for his or her consumption, or usage of cheese, and it can be proven to be because of their usage or consumption of cheese, even if that citizen is more qualified, etc. a fiscal punishment will be set into place on that individual, organization, corporation, etc.
§ 2 – Exceptions
• Only in the case that a gathering or activity that requires a certain monetary amount to enter that has cheese within it and a citizen is denied entry for not having the proper funds, will no monetary penalty be put into place.
§ 3 – Regulation on the Sale of Cheese
• If cheese is sold without passing safety regulations, which state that no chemical or other substance that has been proven to be harmful, or not approved at all by the C.H.E.E.S.E. can be in the cheese that is being sold for later, or immediate consumption.
• If cheese that was sold to an individual or group causes harm to the consumer(s) of that cheese, then that vendor, salesman, or store will receive a fiscal punishment.

• If cheese is produced with harmful chemicals or other harmful substances, or substances that have not been approved by C.H.E.E.S.E. it cannot be sold to a vendor, salesman, or store, for resale and consumption.
• If cheese that was sold to a store, salesman, or vendor, causes harm to the consumer(s) of that cheese, then whoever may have produced that cheese will receive a fiscal punishment.

• A board to oversee that this act is followed shall be formed
• It shall be known as the Cheese Health Entitlement Enterprise and Safety Edict, or C.H.E.E.S.E.
• It shall be consisted of three members, who are to be appointed by the Minister of Health

• A member of the board may be removed at any time by the President or Minister of Health

The Calaverdean Flag Act

An act to establish a flag that represents Calaverdean unity, as well as giving guidelines on its use.

Preamble

The Parliament of the Calaverdean Government, in wishing to create a sense of unity among citizens and a source of national pride, hereby enacts the Calaverdean Flag Act, defining what the flag of Calaverde is and setting precedent on how to fly it.

Aritcle I: The Flag

1. The flag shall be three horizontal stripes in the order of blue, white, blue from top to bottom. In the center of the middle stripe shall be four green stars in a row.

2. The blue represents the sea; that which surrounds our nation.

3. The white represents a hope for everlasting peace, prosperity and stability for all Calaverdeans.

4. The four stars represent the four founding nations of our country, in no particular order; Spain, the Netherlands, Britain and France.

5. The green in the stars represents the lush forests and tropical jungles that embody Calaverde.

Article II: Usage guidelines

1. Section II is created as a guideline for the purpose of defining how to fly the flag and display it when done by the government; section II shall have no effect on civilian flags or standards.

2. The National Flag of Calaverde shall be displayed in a superior manner, befitting our national pride; it shall not be defaced (see A3 S2) or displayed in a position inferior to any other flag or standard. The National Flag always takes precedence over all other national flags when flown in Calaverde.

3. The National Flag of Calaverde should always be flown on its own mast in government buildings.

4. The National Flag is flown at all government buildings, airports and military bases within and outside Calaverde. The flag may be flown by night as well as by day.

5. When a period of mourning occurs, either for the government or a close ally, the Calaverdean flag is permitted and encouraged to be flown at half mast in honor of the dead by any government building.

Article III: Defacing the flag and vandalism

1. Defacing the flag is defined as purposely changing the appearance of a pre-existing Calaverdean flag in any way, shape or form to become something that is not an official standard. Clause 2 also applies when flying anything but an official standard, regardless of whether the change was made before or after the making of the flag.

2. It is illegal for any government building to fly a defaced or vandalized Calaverdean flag unless unaware of the defamation.

3. If a flag is requested to be 'defaced' for the purpose of supporting a political cause (i.e. making the stars rainbow colored for LGBT rights) and flown by a government building, they must first seek permission from the Constituency's representative, and if they are not available, the municipality's council. If permission is granted, clause 2 does not apply so long as that specific flag is flown.

Now that we have decided on a flag, I'd like to bring this to the attention of the Senators. I wrote an earlier draft and got two sponsors, anyone want to help out? As well, I'd be pleased to hear criticism and things to add to the act. As well, I'm aware that this was penned by Simon Almagro, but since he has died, let's just say that Javier Escuella is carrying on his legacy and editing it to make the act better.
