Paper monopoly money is where it's at. I never cheated, but keeping an eye on your enemies friends was part of the fun. I'll need to satisfy this Monopoly craving at some point. I've got my PC re-built and Steam account finally set up now.

I was rather good at monopoly. Though some of the people I played with rage quit when you didn't let them cheat. They were so obvious though.

Oh no, trading is for when you're thoroughly screwed over and can be exploited. AI players are a very useful tool.

Yeah, when I cheat manipulate the rules I am subtle. I don't just claim that the player on the other side of the table stole a property from me.

My main objection against Monopoly is that, once started, the game just doesn't end. It just keeps going on and on and on. Granted, after a while it's clear who got all the expensive streets and stuff, but those players tend to express a desire to keep playing until they have all the money.

Yeah, it can go on for some time when the remaining players are locked and are just essentially exchanging the same money back and forth. The game could benefit from a mechanic like a property tax on all houses/hotels.
