Yeah, it can go on for some time when the remaining players are locked and are just essentially exchanging the same money back and forth. The game could benefit from a mechanic like a property tax on all houses/hotels.

Begging? Never.

Pitifully grovelling, mayhap.

Now I'm imagining what a more socialist version of Monopoly would be like. Everyone starts with a million. *nods*

I've realized why I'm not enjoying this place so much nowadays. Trust issues. I have no grounds for certainty that the people here are really friends and not plotting behind the scenes based on old grudges. I've pissed off enough people here and offsite over the years. Pathetic to rely on people from forums to fill the friend quota, anyway, shouldn't do that. Maybe it's time for a vacation. A few games coming out soon, might be a good time for a time-out.

Why care what a few people think? You must know that enough people here do consider you a friend. I get the trust issues. I've got some of those on my own, but don't let paranoia rule your head. Regardless of who you are, people will talk behind your back. You're not alone there. Plotting, though? You might be giving a little too much credit, there. Anyone who holds a long-time grudge on the internet of all places seriously needs to get out more. You'll come across people you dislike, and people that will dislike you, but there's no reason they need to be in your thoughts.

In today's day and age online interactions can be considered as important as offline interactions.

It's up to you who you trust and what you make of everybody you meet, online and offline.

What could people be plotting anyways? Isn't the one of the reasons we all spend so much time online? The anonymity, the safety of hiding behind a display. Nobody can punch you, and for some reason text on a monitor doesn't hurt as much as words from the mouth of a stranger on the streets.

I think if recent stories in the past few years of online bullying has taught us anything, it's that online or offline, social interactions have a big impact on how we feel.

They have an impact.

But unless you've chosen to engage in sexting or something of that sort, I fail to see how much damage somebody you have no offline interactions with could cause to you.

Which I guess is my point, really. You can't expect everyone to get on, and I think what's more important is that TET be interesting with a diverse selection of differing personalities. There's always going to be some amount of friction, but TET would be a sad place devoid of any big characters.
