Orthodox Tyrandeli ethics have always been rooted in obligation to others. The serf has an obligation to serve the noble, while the noble has an obligation to defend the serf. All have an obligation to obey those better than them and guide those lesser than them. The Social Harmony Order, or Traditionalists, base their policies upon this. This has led to social stability, but also abusive and corruption. It is no longer acceptable to allow these ethics to prevail. The Traditionalists seem likely to fall regardless of any actions we take. The problem is how long it will take for them to fully collapse. The Society may make it quick, but should they fail it will take a very long time. If it takes too long, we may need to intervene directly.

Recently, two other schools of ethics have diverged from this. One, professed by the National Salvation Movement, designates the prime obligation of all individuals as working for the greater good. A just state under this ethical system is one where all work for the benefit of the whole. Not socialism, as equality plays no role here and private ownership of property still exists, but still a very collectivist ideal. This seems the most difficult to corrupt to me, but regrettable seems likely to hinder progress as well. Some have also informed me of possible fascist tendencies amongst the Nationalists, but I don't see the problem there. The Nationalists are unlikely to be victorious in the coming struggle, but may act as a kingmaker and decide whether the Traditionalists or the Society is ultimately victorious.

The other, professed by the Natural Aristocratic Society, places the greatest obligation unto yourself. Specifically, the greatest obligation is to struggle to reach your full potential no matter the costs to you or the costs to others. In this case, a just society would have everyone in the position that best suits them. Those with innate greatness would achieve actual greatness. The Society seems the most likely to succeed should the coming struggle goes as expected, but I doubt they would survive very long if I opposed them. They do seem to have the sympathy of the Mackonians, which could be problematic. Any invasion will result in a draconic counterstrike, so I have little worry of that, but more subtle Mackonian support could give the Society a significant advantage over the others.

The Traditionalists seem unlikely to compromise, their greatest weakness and likely the ultimate cause of their failure. However, the Society does not have that flaw. I expect that should the Society prevail, they will give at least lip service to some Nationalist ideals to maintain power and avoid a popular uprising in the rural regions. This is for the best, as the ethics of the Society as they are now seem likely to cause corruption and may require a purge should they take power.

"Sir, you will return the Auroyan citizens in question within a period of one week. Nothing is to be done to them; you will not have the opportunity to apply your laws to them. We will not allow that. Do not fear, justice will be done - proper justice, that is, not your justice, administered by a proper court in our Commonwealth. We will arrive to get them from one of your airports, in one of our aircraft. In the event that you should refuse to comply, we at Her Majesty's Government will probably not feel like reconsidering delivering international justice upon you via any of the diplomatic and economic means available to us. I'm quite sure, of course, that this unfortunate matter can be resolved in a manner that keeps everybody involved happy."

"Blackwing Coast has no true police force - 70% is sanctioned vigilantes and 30% is Inquisition. Unsanctioned vigilantes are also common. If foreign visitors get lynched, it is no matter of the state. If foreign visitors run afoul of the Inquisition it most likely means they have been involved in staging or performing assassinations or high-profile heists, or have been trying to start a civil war or stage an invasion. In all of these matters they may only be returned to their home country after all possible information has been extracted - and only if they wish to return." - Inquisitor Coril Varzath.

You want to know how Sekuo is like?

You take a socialist state. Bog standard, authoritarian one, put it in a bowl of tropical niceness and monsoons for days. Oh, let's make them have a significant amount of human rights abuses. Free healthcare and free housing AND free education? Let's put that in for safe measure. Ok, have them have a pretty good industrial sector with tourism, agriculture, and IT taking a big chunk of the GDP. A dash of religious fundamentalism in government here, and a dash of revisionism there, and a shitload of orthodox religious philosophies and just... drop it into that bowl.

You get Sekuo.

Alright. This is a fun experience away from space escapades and Caribbean Fallout.

“There's a new religious ‘fad’ going around in Gajra, which seems to be a syncretic religion composing of Hindu dogma, like karma and multiple faces of God (such as Vishnu and Brahma, according to some Hindu theologians), along with the teachings of Christ. This religion is called Masīhabrahmism (मसीहब्रह्मवाद). It actually uses both Holy Books of the Bible and the Scripts of the Vedas as the true books. They say that Christ, or Īsā Masīha, is the human embodiment of Brahman, the genderless, infinite concept of the Ultimate Reality. This religion's monotheistic God, which is Brahman, shares the same traits as Yahweh; both are genderless (with Yahweh using the ultimate power in gender, which is masculine), both are infinite (as God is omniscient, Brahman is infinite in the end of effect). . .

So, theoretically, it is either Hinduism with Brahman being the father of Jesus, or Christianity, where Yahweh is split into many different personalities, with His ultimate form begetting Christ, the Saviour of Mankind.”

— Ninad K. S. Gopinath, a Christian theologian on other religions.

"It was a Faustian bargain for getting a long life or 'survivability', the engineering of the brain and the centuries of social engineering have turned the remainder of technologically advanced humanity into a Mammalian eusocial organism divided by 'colonies', a bit more similar to worker insects on social levels at some points. The effective spirit of Man is not nonexistent but rather fragmented under an automated regime solely dedicated to survival. Labor quotas, labor masqueraded as entertainment, mass hoarding...I guess things like 'art' and 'fine' culture are fragments of expression and entertainment which are piles of slightly modified fads and 'thumbs ups' one over the other.
...
However, if there's any empathy or biological selfishness for self-preservation it's all about humanity to a relative extent. On multiverse chatter, the number of people who'd think that pacifist Crystal-Spires-and-Togas thing for a 'utopian' society...or at least somewhat egalitarian in standards of life...is too much. After all, this society is more like a colony. Universal education on certain things since youth and rotating shifts hint it out. Nearly every able-bodied Baseline citizen would be a 'bee' in the colony. If felt threatened they'd hit to kill, they wouldn't bat an eye about dying en masse save in brief instinctive variables, and it's safe to say they'd fight to the last available warrior if not given the order to surrender."

"This is one of the greatest electoral shakeups in Ruridovan history. Since 1990 the left has controlled the prime ministership and most of the provinces, and oftentimes the parliament as well. But they've been brought down by their ties to Spenser, and while they retain a narrow majority of the provinces, they've lost the prime ministership to the Centrist candidate, Sviatopolk Obrenovic, and the right has gained control of the legislatures. Mikolaj Sakharow of the Republicans will lead the rightist coalition in the Senate, and Benito Silvonti of the Conservatives will lead the rightist coalition in the Congress. Really, the only two leftist parties to really come through unscathed are the Progressive Liberals under Lu Khan, who is now senatorial leader of the opposition, and the Greens. It's utterly unclear who's going to lead opposition in the lower house. And with the far right RNIF coming in ahead of half of the other parties? We've got an interesting five years ahead of us."

“Everyone views liberal issues such as abortion in a ‘human rights violation’ spotlight. Well, let us see it for what it truly is.

Have you ever heard of animals having abortion? No; I have never heard of a chimpanzee aiding a pregnant chimpanzee by ripping its fetus, unless it was to cannibalize. This is because nature - or God - never made it so you can terminate your offspring, for your offspring are aiding the gene pool. Alas, some will bring the argument of terminating fetuses with biological defects. Do you want to know how nature deals with that? Premature death in the wild. The opposition will then raise the argument about how it cruel to send physically or mentally stunted children in the wild; yet, it is not cruel to deny a life that can be hosting the fruits of happiness?

Contradiction lies within every ideology. Do not think that the ideology with the most abidance is the most innocent one; nay, it is the opposite.”

― Venkata Mahendra Nala Purushottam, an apathetic to the abortion argument and a conservative.

Where does it exactly say one life is worth more than the other? Where does it say one is permitted to end a life of another?

We must learn to be aware of consequences as well as given the option if we fail to prepare. It is not of the sanest mind to entitle oneself to such opinions when one doesn't have to bear such a responsibility.

Educate men and women thoroughly on what procreation truly is. It is one of responsibility and hardship, with more left unto the woman's. Providing contraceptives also allows for more prevention, so that the moral predicament of ending a potential life is not an issue for the mother would be, as well as reducing the stigma of such products.

To claim natural order is a fallacy and a rejection of the reality of this situation, that is to say, for us to practice ahimsa in a practical manner one is to be armed with the necessary scientific knowledge of such situations.

Education and destigmatization of contraceptives are useful weapons against otherwise problematic abortions. If one bans abortions, and at the same time denies the access of contraception as well as access to information, they are doing the greatest harm to the greatest amount of beings. This is not moral in any way or form.

We must utilize our resources to reduce harm and suffering. This is a humanistic value and is part of the revolutionist ethos.

Prevention is to be provided as one option, with abortions being the last drastic option for the sake of mispreparation. Keep in mind however, that we must refrain from shunning the woman who had an abortion, as it is still an act of harm.

It is multi facetted issue that comes to one solution, and that is, how does one reduce suffering on all points, regardless of natural order? The solution lies in education, prevention, and destigmatization.

"Always with the same insults and critiques, calling them that may be giving them too much leeway, it is slander, slander, slander, slander, slander. Arrogant, they call me, how is that a bad thing or a detestable thing or even a provable thing? All men are proud, a King and Peasant both have a sense of self-respect, one just has more than the other. Can one have too much? How's this question, who doesn't want to live like a King? Then they say I'm amoral, fucking amoral. A base and contemptible verbal assault sputtered by men when they can't think of any logical reason to deny you. I determine whether or not I have made the right choice, Gods and Men both can do what they will in response, but they'll have to kill me to stop me. Hateful? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, I am hateful, I am burning with this spiteful fire in my gut. I am burning alive, but I pay no mind to it. Anger is the emotion of action, it is the emotion of the divine, filling me with adrenaline making me smarter and stronger than I was when I was calm. Oh, this beautiful thing called anger, rage and hatred. How I love it, yes, I love hate, a paradox my scorching mind cannot fathom. I fill myself up with fire and act upon the earth just like it, shaping the land around me with pure spite."
