"You'd be amazed at how well placated a mass body of people can be with garbage 'entertainment' and apt injections of free money to feed their consumerist instincts to buy cheap crap that's going to break thirty times in a day." - Propaganda Minister Joey Morrison, 2096 (he set an example for all subsequent people to hold his position).

"The only thing you should think of when making any significant decision should be yourself and no one but yourself. No god, no state, no ideals and no farcical sense of 'duty'. Co-operate...if it suits your interests, be good to your family for they will continue your genes, if religion advances your interests, embrace it. However the moment any contract, ideal or doctrine tries to con you out of your justified selfishness it is to be avoided like the plague and combated like the terrorist."

"What right does the State have to take my wealth!? You claim to be on our side Mythurin! To support the right of Great Men to live free from fear! I have laboured long and hard for my fortune and neither government arms nor false altruism will force me to abandon it!"

"There is no talent in mass marketing filth to sheep, Shangzelos."

"The Markets will not stand for it! I am the one Mack keeping the Slatari standing!"

"We have lived cowering in the shadows of the financial witchdoctors for too long, I do not care what the market thinks, every time anyone in this country attempts to get something done we are given grave warnings by the economic sorcerers that doom and gloom will follow. Well from henceforth the markets will bow to me not the other way around. If they continue to prove obstinate I will make them kneel-after all, gold makes for poor armour..."

"You are insane!"

"All greatness is touched with madness."

"Pah! What is your "Great Man" but a collection of base cravings and his yearning for their fulfillment? This precious existential angst you intellectual types harp on about is the meaningless twaddle of weaklings unable to go on and enjoy life. Man is an animal like any other and will listen more to gold and bread than fine talk and lofty notions."

"In 1988, the cargo ship Oban left the eastern Bereian port of Castile, bound north for California with several hundred casks of raw alcohol in the holds. She was captained by Richard Flowers, a highly experienced seaman with four previous commands under his belt. She was reported overdue in California when she was two days late, and authorities in both nations began investigations, hoping to locate the missing vessel and crew as quickly as possible. They failed. Neither the ship herself, the crew, nor any sign of their fate was ever found."

"The big giant here, making incursions in South America and México; is Star (Estrella). It was State-operated until 1980, and then it was practically rented in stocks and eventually sold locally in a total manner by 1986. It has many willing buyers in Latin America; and many of it's models still use the Soviet formula learned from Lada, GAZ, and Moskvich : affordable, sturdy, easy-maintenance, and reliable even in substandard roads. This last bit is incredibly attractive to buyers in said places.

Furthermore the fact Las Palmeras is Latin American gives the impression that Star is more homely than American and European or Japanese made cars, or at least according to some public officials and some ads."

The liberal breaks into absolutes much later than the conservative. The conservative, to be frank, starts with the absolutes before you start talking to them.

Both still break into absolutes in accordance with the circumstances of the conversation. Which is normal, since we all have even further tolerance levels that dictate our political, ideological, and world views. Openness and closedness.

Therefore, a liberal that breaks into absolutes before a conservative breaks into absolutes; is a liar and neo-conservative.

"Let's go over what usually happens to captured soldiers in war. Let me say this first, the best you can hope for if you're captured is a quick death. Let's see, who shall we discuss first. Ah, yes. Wasteland barbarians. They tend to prefer overly brutal execution methods on captured soldiers, and there have been recorded cases of, for example, prisoners being flayed alive and left to die. Then there's the Nexus, who have this unfortunate tendency to make prisoners into test subjects for horrific bio-weapons. The Mechanocracy prefer torture and execution, and the Frenkish, well, they like brainwashing prisoners into fighting for them. As a final note, this is what we do to captured enemy soldiers. The Eviscerator cyborg. Heavily modified with cybernetics to be as deadly as possible, lobotomized and pumped full of drugs until it becomes a frenzied berserker impervious to pain, and then released in packs onto enemy camps. Brutal? Yes. Absolutely terrifying to face? Yes. Any worse than what most others do prisoners? Not really. Here, have a look of some pictures of Nexus chimeric virus victims."

"With a Republican Senate and House, what the hell is Barry supposed to do? He could use his limited presidential powers to their fullest extent, but risk the opposition calling him out as some kind of dictatorial monarch. He could also let this gridlock continue, but still risk the opposition whining about his 'weakness'. Honestly, President Obama is a better person than I, for at this point, I would have already bribed the CIA to make the troublemakers disappear and the elections go in my favor."
