Gumbo is hardly the only food from LA. I don't like it. That doesn't mean I do not appreciate LA or enjoy some of the other dishes its cuisine produces, like jambalaya or fried bananas or Shrimp remoulade or Shrimp Bisque. It is a stretch and frankly idiotic that you jump from me not liking gumbo to me not appreciating your state. Nothing could be furthest from the truth.

I visited Cafe du Monde and had the beignets (delicious pastries, fried), the French Quarter of course, the Lafayette Cemetery, the Garden District. went to Metairie (gorgeous), took a haunted tour of the city at night (awesome)...

Unrelated note: I just found candylens, from Korea and they're cheap, even with prescription so I am very tempted to either get the violet or the pink lenses because hey, I'm already considered weird so what's more confirmation, right?

Well worth it, we ater in prudome and lagrassie's restaurants. The bars and clubs in the french quarter, preservation hall. I would love to go back.
