Mhm, it's a nice balance. Quiet, but not difficult to get a conversation going if you put the effort in.

You need to get your groove on there then. And when all else fails, apply cooking sorcery.

For egg washes, I recommend a bit of milk in it. Tends to give it a good consistency.

An idea I will most certainly try next goaround. For now, I shall reflect on the litany of errors I have realised I made. Like leaving my tongs on a hot frying pan, putting cooking spray on wax paper on cooking spray on the tray, and flipping my meat after rather than before throwing some cheese on.

A most curious reminder that I don't practise nearly as much as I should.

Oh Grimy, those are mistakes I believe everyone who dabbles in cooking has made once or twice or more. :lol2: I know I've done the meat one. Or baking pizza and then realize I forgot to add the sauce? Yeah, done that.

I've seen pictures of your mother. You won't be freaking out.

That's what I'm aiming for. She's more gold dust and orchid extract than woman at this point, but God knows I'm not shelling out a grand for two ounces of face putty.

Quite so. Although, truth be told, it was a bit odd at first, that this iteration has lasted so long but it's quite nice. It feels less... ''noisy'', dare I say?

I agree entirely. I suppose it's what happens when the teens remove themselves for study, the boisterous vitality gets shifted. :p

Heh - it's more a stern reminder that I need to be less absent minded and a bit more intentional until end of semester exams are over.

And it feels nice. We just need a mojito or two or three and the mellowness is great. :p

As long as your absentmindedness doesn't include setting your kitchen on fire, you're doing great. Or try to do easier things, if you're too caught up in your studies.

The whole forum seems to be a bit less densely populated than used to be the case. This may be for more reasons than the current absence of holidays and school vacations.

Well, maybe this place just isn't so hip and happening anymore. There is no reason to assume that NationStates is impervious to the ravages of time.

I think it a bit early after the Summer rush to draw those kind of conclusions. If there's ever a slow summer, we'll know we're on the way out.

There have been far fewer interesting topics. The autumn is usually littered with them.

I don't think NS is impervious to the ravages of time. No site is, when you come to think of it. ;) But it's interesting and refreshing that we're seeing this lull. Perhaps TET is also on the way out.
