Well I hope you feel better soon, then. And that it becomes a little less common of a reoccurrence.

mine involved the protagonist of the story setting the grand controller of all of Manhattan's zombies alight as his evil throne was a large bathtub filled with an antibiotic liquid to slow decomposition that is also very flammable

the story I read it in was very good and not the usual zombie novel but in a good way, 8.5/10, known as Monster Island

I can recite the whole plot setup if you would like me to, I'm bored

hokay. so, it all starts off on a boat approaching Manhattan in foggy weather. the protagonist is- or, rather, was, since the first world is gone- a UN weapons inspector, taken prisoner by the Free Women's Republic of Somaliland, ruled by a cult of personality revolving around the warlord Mama Halima. this is after the apocalypse, by the way- a zombie epidemic came and left only all the third world nations alive. they're on a boat approaching Manhattan with the goal of picking up AIDS medication for Mama Halima at the fourth floor health office of the UN building. it was planned as a simple mission- dock, kill all the zombies on the way, take the meds, run back to the boat, and go back to Somaliland. problem is, they find that, though they are only half a kilometre away from the building, they're blocked by a bloody great pile of bodies in the water rendering the bit between them and the UN building far too shallow to sail through. they dock and fight through the waves of zombies.

meanwhile, somewhere only kilometres away, a man known as Gary wakes up. Gary's a strapping g young med student who, seeing no hope for the future in staying in Manhattan, infected himself and connected himself to circulatory machines to prevent the brain damage sustained by the loss of circulation that comes with death that rendered the undead so mindless. unfortunately, he is as hungry as the rest of the undead all the same. as he is going through Manhattan looking for frozen meats and such, he has a little altercation with the Somalians and they take him prisoner only for the fact that he's a freakin' talking zombie

the Somalians fight and fight until their leader is bitten, forcing them to retreat into a Virgin megastore as their leader's condition deteriorates

hold on, gotta go rest my fingers for a minute, I'll continue soon
