As for the actual emotional stupidity, yeah, I have that too, whenever I talk to anybody IRL.

Sorry, for me it doesn't end IRL. I can have decent conversations with girls on NS but I'm just rubbish with social conventions and things like that.

While I don't like to use 'retarded' often.

It is applicable, and sorry if it offends you, but it is not rule breaking.

Then ask her when she's next online. And be nice. Don't unleash any Ion humour until at least the third date.

She and I know each other for a while now.

She understands my doofus humor.

It's beautiful, in a way. It would make a fine Attenborough documentary.

Unfortunately said documentary would be heavily edited by the BBC censors.

I personally find the first date is a preferable way to get to know somebody, as it's the "no purchase necessary" date, and conversation at dinner needs that little kick-start. It's all personal preference, though.

She and I used to be friends before our interests took us away from hanging out... however, we had physics together last year, and I came to realize she stayed as awesome as I remember. Nice girl, partial gamer, going into sports, and we share AP Government together :)

a hangout is needed, just so we can catch up on shit.

Actually, wait, no, my message was wrong. I mixed up some thoughts in my head. Of course, dating = getting to know someone. I want to get to know someone before I ever consider sexual relations with someone. I really want to care about the person I'm with before I ever get that intimate. That's what I meant to say. I'm one of the take-it-slow types.

Ah, I agree with you there. I follow the third date rule. It's also an excellent way to root out those only after a roll in the hay.

Oh, no, maybe I should clarify. I'm the snail's-pace kind of guy. A few months, I figure. Becoming a real friend of your lover before consummating the love.
