In a bit of quandary. I'm in a job where I know I should be paid more. I work with people who wouldn't like that. I have a boss who, rather than taking the logical option, knowing that keeping me on and paying me more, would make the company more money than if I were replaced, could likely take the path of less resistance and replace me anyway, because it means he can avoid a confrontation with other employees, despite this decision not being in the best interest of the company.

It's infuriating. If I say something it could jeopardise my job, but if I say nothing, my position at the company will never change. The logical option is to use the skills and experience I have to find a better job, but then I risk going into a job I do not enjoy.
