You indulge my silly side, but don't pry too much. This is good. It's an easy, comfortable friendship.

And on my end, I work hard to match your superior wit and good humor. It can be tough at times, but it is quite rewarding when successful. A very pleasant friendship, indeed.

I've learned that on NS, you can't make many friends. It's not a good idea. I've reduced my circle because of that.

Why do you say that?

Because it has been my experience. Because I've seen horrid sides of people I used to like here and I've decided they're not friendship material. And because I have an aversion towards people that has increased exponentially.

Oh, definitely. You gravitate towards certain people. If you get to know them well, of course you'll enjoy your friendship.

Y'know, now that I think about it, my two closest friends here aren't here anymore. That leaves me with 3 at most? And a few acquaintances.

I did at one point in time. But I'm horrible at keeping in touch, so that didn't last long.

As do I... I may be a little more willing to do so, but not by much. I pretty much have it due to my stuttering issues. It doesn't stop me from singing or speaking as long as I've written it down at some point or have a script.

Mhm, it's too easy to hide behind a persona online.

I find that the hardest part for me making connections here is the lack on normal social cues. There's no real obligation to be civil as long as you stay under the flaming or trolling threshold. I don't really react well to conflict (the major reason I rarely explore the majority of General), so I tend to just back away from anybody too acerbic.

That too is why I mainly post in TET. Although I do venture into certain topics. People here can be antagonistic for the sake of antagonizing. If you don't react well to conflict, NSG can be stressing.
