I'll have to agree. Engineering seems to be the only sector where degrees are handed out like mad but employers are screaming to fill positions. I feel forced into it.

I still have an IT degree in the plan, despite the fact I've already started an Arts undergrad degree (in Media) and plan to do a certification in sound engineering (one of 'real' engineering's little brothers and sisters). A shame - over the years I've gone from relatively interested in to entirely deadset against working in the IT sector. My hope is to actually get work experience in sound or video production before it comes to applying for IT jobs.
