Much like how we analyzed/are analyzing other issues, like GDP, LGBT rights, healthcare, etc.

No, I agreed with your response, "Yes", and then proceeded to ask if you had further evidence of how European nations around Baltonia handle the issue. The same way we discussed other issues.

I badly phrased my response, and I apologize for that. I hope my clarification helps.

Edit: I recognized that there were examples, (such as the ones provided by yourself and Great Nepal -- Canada and Britain), but there were also counter-examples (Germany, France, Sweden, Latvia, etc), so to clarify the issue, I wanted to know what the countries in our immediate vicinity, the ones we've been taking our cues from on GDP, healthcare, LGBT rights, etc, felt on the topic. A sub-question to Med's question? Follow-up?

CTALNH, if you want to RP unrest and not the voting on bills, then participate as a non-politician citizen and business owner. You'll still RP stuff, just not the stuff you find so boring.

Yeah why not I can just finance a dude to become an MP and vote as I tell him.

Huh, so you're going to play as an openly-corrupt politician?

Step 1. Create position with a $450k salary.
Step 2. Resign CEO status, become that position
Step 3. Maintain large share of stock in the company

They can't penalize you for money made with stock portfolios since that's not directly benefiting from a company payment, that's just financial investment.

Alternatively, just donate the majority of your income to charity, since that counts as a net income <500k.

If the whole thing happens I'm going to do that, and resign CEO in name only, the CEO in name will run the company but in practice, The Corporate affairs adviser, whose role is to advise the CEO of all matters in the company, well If my character's cousin becomes CEO, and My senator becomes Corporate affairs adviser, Well we found a solution.

No worries, it was my fault for badly phrasing it.

And thanks! That helps shed some light on it. What do you think of the compromise GN came up with, to protect small-business owners who wish to participate?

Is it too much to ask for people who want to be businessmen to create new characters? That way the business times can lobby politicians, rather than just one person (which is how it would turn out).
