I saw leftists voting only Aye for Malgrave and some right-wing people only voting Aye for me. Of course I can understand if you have personal reasons for voting a certain way about a particular nominee, that is alright.

Just don't try to make it into a partisan vote. The Administration is completely OOC and the vote should be made on whether you think that player is worthy of the position based on their merits, not because they agree with your politics.

And then I was voted Nay for by at least one person on the basis that I RP'd as the Gendarmerie earlier in the year, and they didn't like the word Gendarmerie.

I hope your reaction to such situations as admin will be a bit more measured than your outburst in the vote thread. It didn't exactly do a lot to build confidence in your abilities to be fair-headed and fair minded.

That was literally the most frivolous vote that I have ever seen.

Of course I can be level-headed and fair minded. But if any hypothetical individual were to be a twat, I may in fact choose to inform that individual of the dismay they have caused me, while dealing with their problem in a fair-headed manner.

It's bad that I'm training to be police, isn't it...

As we voted to have our primary language be Spanish, to all Jewish citizens and senators of our yet to be named nation I'd like to say:

FELIZ JANUCÁ!
(That's Spanish for Channukah)

Here's a canción de Janucá in Ladino to help you celebrate.

Kour, you have just set yourself very high standards! :lol2:

My guess that it's Kour is based on the fact that whilst Mal has been online the only one to have added their name to the Admin team box at this point is Kour.

It's a rule in order to maintain as much transparency as possible, regardless of the situation. Does it matter as much when there's a bit of banter? Not really, but it's still technically in place.

For Christ sake the fun was guessing who it was and then the person who it was would reveal themselves. How is the result of what Kour did anything other than transparent?

I thought admins were supposed to use common sense not act like Germans!

I voted Present for Malgrave because I didn't really know enough about him to know whether he'd make a good admin. It had nothing to do with ideology.

I like the first flag but I feel like the blue and green clash a bit too much. Maybe a smaller star. The last flag, well, the blue seems too bright.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. How much smaller do you think the star in the first one should be?

Actually I think the star is right. I feel the blue should be a darker one or one that isn't as bright.

I really like the first one, but I'm not a fan of the second one (seems too chaotic), or the third (would be great for an African nation, not a Latin American one). Otherwise, great job.

Would the blue on my flag be closer to what you're envisioning?

Thanks! The number of stars or number of bars could be reduced on the second one, or the bars' heights could be increased.
