Wikipedia's definition can cover almost any type of libertarian, from anarcho-capitalists and objectivists, to geolibertarians and mutualists, to anarcho-communists and collectivists. It's a fucking huge blanket term.

The American definition, used predominately here, mostly refers to right-wing libertarianism, which is Belmaria, Arkolon, New World, Corenea and I.

My point is still, there are two forms and the right wing one is in my opinion conservative

These are some of my beliefs:

-Little to no economic protectionism
-No corporate welfare
-No restrictions on marriage
-Lax immigration restrictions
-Reduction of military
-Legalize all soft drugs

Gonna be frank here, these extremely moderate soft-right "progressive conservative parties" always flop when it comes to the NSG senate. More hard-right parties like reform which can unite many sectors of the right have generally been more successful.

Reform never had more than 5 active members IIRC. It was stable because fuck all happened.

Reform never had more than 5 active members IIRC. It was stable because fuck all happened.

Sounds like a bit of an exaggeration there. And either way, it was a fairly well ran and stable party, which had a functioning ideology (Libertarian Conservatism), a good structure, and it took part in the most successful and the only stable coalition the right wing has ever seen in NSG. The Prog Cons on the other hand basically had no real ideology, was in a coalition with the fucking Communist party, and ended up imploding horrifically (the name then basically became as cursed as the name Voldemort after that happened, or as I'd rather say, the numbers in Lost).

I'm a progressive that happens to be slightly right of centre. Since when did progressiveness have a fixed economic position?

Generally economic progressivism=centre-left, that's why Liberal-Conservatism is a coherent ideology (social liberalism, fiscal Conservatism), but Progressive-Conservatism isn't, since it's almost impossible to stay within the bounds of fiscal Conservatism without betraying "progressive principles", or vice versa. You're always going to either be out progressed by the left, or shown up as weak by more staunch right-wingers.
