You see, when I was a kid, I though that the strongest football team is resides in the capital of their country.

Meaning Bayern Muenchen is residing in Munich (Right?) and Munich is its capital of Germany.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST

RP's Overarching Concept: Modern-day expedition RP involving the search for a cryptid (undetermined yet).
Genre/s: Action/Adventure/Drama/Horror.
Character or Faction Based: Character.
Detailed Description: This RP idea is still in its infancy, as many aspects and accounts must be settled in order to refine the idea and to ultimately get the RP up and running as soon as possible. The base idea is that a team of scientists, adventurers, and others set off on an expedition to some locale in order to track down a cryptid and either confirm or deny its existence. My first RP here on P2TM was an expedition RP, focusing on a crew searching for the Megalodon.

Need Help With: We need to ascertain what cryptid or legendary creature we are tracking down, whether it be Gustave the Killer Croc, the Kraken, the Loch Ness Monster, El Chupacabra, or Sewer Gators. After we confirm what our creature will be, we can determine what our setting will be, and how exactly our expedition will approach its goal.

That's an interesting situation. The border is a dangerous region, due to recent border violence along the line, and we could easily say that the Chupacabra has been endangering ranching and other livestock-based agricultural operations, and we could even throw in a few incidents of people being attacked or even killed in order to validate our expedition.

Yeah. Could even have it so we're a search party looking for somebody who went missing in the area or something.

You could do a semi mystic kind of turns out to be sci fi stuff chupacabra thing.

Like maybe some sort of time portals opening at one time and then the creature goes through and the whole thing turns out to have cult followers or smthn so that the chars also have a human threat besides an unknown and vicious animal, the chars slowly delve into it and they get some backlash from the people in the area and since it will be in a third world country(Mexico or smthn) they will have limited help and safety. And it'll be like a mix between straight end horror sometimes, while being like a very mystery thriller thing.

I mean, I'm all for like a chupacabra investigation or whatever you want to do with chupacabra.

Fuck the time rip portals then. I just thought maybe you wanted a Primeval like thing.

We'll have like a camera crew, some animal behaviourists and cryptozoologists in our team, as well as possibly skeptical zoologists or smthn who are in it only for the pay, right? I think those are the first to come in mind when we talk about hunting down crypt ids for a show.
But we could just make a rescue or search team it depends on what you decide.

My proposal is that after an abnormal amount of bodies start showing up on the border, the State of Texas organizes a team of investigators, scientist type people (Experts in local wildlife, etc), maybe a documentary screw following them. As they go deeper into the desert, they somehow loose contact with the outside world and get stalked by the unknown creature (chupacabra).

When we ran the Megalodon RP a few years back, the US Government-sanctioned team consisted of scientists and the ship's crew. The expedition members could come from a variety of different backgrounds, though military members would most likely be scientists, unless the circumstances are different.

I see. I think though that over presence of actual scientists and military would really turn the whole mystery thing down as that would be pretty OP against, say, chupacabra.

We had a Spetznaz character in Megalodon, and he was on some sort of top-secret mission that called for him to be on board the ship. Back when I first started OP'ing on here, I would often approve overpowered applications just for the sake of bringing them down ICly, so that I could teach them a lesson about making characters in regards to the RP's environment. The crew interrogated him on his operation, and he ended up threatening to call in paratroopers, at which point I introduced a physical conflict, which ended with his character being eaten alive by juvenile Megalodons.

I don't mind characters having a special forces background; however, when they try to have their character shape the RP in unrealistic ways, I take offense. If we go on a land-based expedition, then we'd likely have a number of guards and possibly even military or personnel sent to provide protection (though they wouldn't likely be NATO troops, likely troops of the nation that the expedition is operating in).
