Hey Guys. I have been kicking around an idea for a while and I was wondering if I could get some support, or some help for it. Please telegram me if you are interested in helping me flesh this idea out.
In 1909, German Scientist Dr. Otto Kramer utilized vacuum tubing to strengthen an experimental radio system in his laboratory in Dresden. With little expectation on a response, he tested the system. What was received was horrifying, a loud noise which incapacitated most of the members of the research team. Some were even killed by sound wave-induced organ failure, including Dr. Otto Kramer. Wilhelm II closed the experiment, claiming it to be too dangerous for human minds, and many believed that to be the ending of it.

Shortly after this experiment,
the events which would ignite Europe into one of the deadliest conflicts in human history...

June, 1914. The assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand sparked the powder keg that was European Politics. Serbia and Austro-Hungary declared war on one another, the Russian Empire quickly mobilized its forces to back Serbia while Austro-Hungarian Empire began negotiations with the German Empire. France, having alliances with Russia began to mobilize and expelled the German population from its borders.

With the Invasion of Belgium, Britain treaties were called upon and they joined the war nearly a day after France's declaration of war against High Germany. With this forces readied and war on the horizon, the powder keg erupted and the First World War began. With the war, came all of a horrible amalgamation of mechanization: tanks, artillery, planes, machine guns, and gas. Medicine changed the game, as morphine and heroin entered as common medicine and drugs were on the ready. The face of Europe became scarred with the canyon lines of trenches stretching miles. The borders were set, the lines drawn.

And for four long years, the war raged. Millions dying for king and country, graves for miles. And by 1918, the world felt the war had taken all it needed and peace was on the horizon. At the Treaty of Versailles, a broadcast to the entire front was readied. All nations involved were prepared, the war would end...

But it was only the beginning.

Versailles was struck with a similar sound blast from 1909, and the palace exploded. Soldiers witnessed the horrific cause. Tripod machines, that stood stories high with large glowing eyes and riveted faces emerged as the sky became filled with ships of an inhuman nature. Troops watched in horror as these beasts marched over them, Paris fell in a matter of days. Resistance crushed, Europe became isolated from the rest of the world. The United States attempted to respond, there was little hope in sight.

However, a new mission arose from this. European troops once trained to hate one another had gathered together to create a new alliance. But to the higher ranking officials, they were so much more. The first and last line of their generation and their planet. They were the Allied Forces.

Congratulations, recruit. You have been granted a specialized position in this new war.

The Great War, the War of the World.

Elections would be taking place at the beginning of the RP where the incumbent corrupt, unpopular and Pro-US President is running for re-election against a social democrat Allende expy who the Soviets are covertly supporting, the military would have a strong influence on the President and his political party and players could chose to overthrow him or the other candidates if they fall out of favor. Players would also be able to form left or right wing rebel groups, pro government paramilitaries/death squads and cartels.

I must warn you, the NSG Senate has attempted this before and the iterations progressively got worse and the RP often fell apart by winter time. I'd like to see something like this succeed, but it hasn't in the past.

There's the US political RP that seems to be going well

I've had some ideas for a fantasy world that I wanted to put in my own little RPGs if ever I got around to making them...

Dragons act more like the sage keepers of the ancient words and actions. They're like mobile libraries and their caverns are actually enormous, bordering on the same size as the one shown in GATE for the Fire Dragon. They are incredibly intelligent and have the advantage of massive scales made of a keratin-like substance that can easily stop armor-penetrating projectiles up into the tank-gun range. That, however, is on their central points and the wings are obviously less scaled and armored, but massive, like, we're talking able to cover houses, city blocks, with even the largest of the dragons having wingspans that blot out the sun over entire villages and hamlets.

Orcs, trolls, goblins, and the ilk are all actually in the same species category, they just all come in such different sizes and shapes many are classified as different. They operate much like bees do, constantly acting in the interests of their clutches (That's the name for their collective homes under the various Goblin Queens and Hegemonies present). Initially they covered the countryside, fighting, farming, and doing everything a rampant civilization with no natural predator's to curb their expansion, but then came the Humans.

Humans aren't actually all the same species and can vary widely, but they're considered as the same sub-group because they can actually give birth to live young in certain combinations (say a Human from the First wave from an Earth-like world is able to procreate with every odd-numbered wave-type of human afterwards, a Human from the third wave can procreate with any human from a multiple of three wave, etc. etc. little quirks like this that in some weird way make it eventually possible for each human to bear live young after having... 'relations' with another type of human). They are known as incredibly industrious, but also fearful of the unknown. Of course, once a Human has survived doing something once, all the others will try to do the same either proving or disproving the methods used by the first human. Human Wave-numbers are taken very seriously of course and many stay within their own kingdoms or clans which produce pure-blooded Human offspring. Demihumans are included in the 'Human' category...

The Fae are more of the same in how they arrived, being the naturally attributed 'nature spirits' of the lands that the GATE passed over or through. They of course either wandered in, curious, or migrated into it to escape certain or nigh-imminent destruction for fear of remaining. The Fae vary almost as wildly, with druids to elves being among the most human-like in appearance and growing steadily less and less humanoid with their affinity or strength in nature. Dragons are disputed amongst the scholars in this world on whether or not they are a part of this group or not. The Fae appear not to have 'relations' within themselves and young Fae are a rare sight. When a Fae has relations with a non-Fae creature, generally it can bear child or likewise donate the needed material for conception, making Fae-Human or Fae-Goblin hybrids very common.

The Dwarves, well, they're a strange bunch because no one actually has ever seen them, just what they've left behind and the only proof of their continued existence is the sudden or rapid appearance of large mounds or rock formations in civilized areas with the Dwarves also being attributed to the thousands of massive stone carvings that appear in the faces of mountains in local ranges. No one knows why they do this, but initial research and speculation puts this practice as either being a part of an incredibly intricate societal rite-of-passage, though how so is unknown. Dwarves are described as strangely grey in skin, and in fact can oft be mistaken for a stone or the rock faces they live amongst. They have thick, callused skin and small, beady eyes that glow in the dark. It is unknown what they eat, but offerings left out for them are oft left untouched save for anything made of stone or metal which is either taken or shredded and left in neat strips in patterns across the area where the offering was.

There's another thing about the Dwarves, but it's kind of a spoiler for them so I won't write it here.

Would you guys play a hl2 themed roleplay? You'd play as a rebel or part of the combine, and it'd probably take place in c17 during the invasion, although Gordon freeman doesn't exist.

Thanks, I have been tossing a class idea for soldiers like XCOM or having people pick given abilities and make their own classes. As well as giving them weird powers like:
-Shockers - Brought to you from the United States' Buzz Cola. Shocktops are the latest in military genetic innovations. Superpowers in a bottle, a flavor for every occasion! We have Fiery Fruit Punch, Lemon Lime Acid Breath, and the latest flavor includes Ice Cream Soda Frostbite. Gain your power and fight for freedom!

-Mechanized Soldiers - When Mechanization came to Europe, the Germans already had their hands all over the latest technology. So it should come to no surprise when they offered the Allied Forces their research in robotic human enhancements. Enjoy lifting cars like coins, freeing your friends from enemy fire with a chest of iron, or even getting a second life with a full turnover. Anything is possible!

-Tesla Soldiers - Nikola Tesla's Coils strapped with copper to a rifle, why didn't we think of this before! Lightning troops, shocking the enemy with 10,000 Watts!

Yes. We need to flesh out story first besides that Gordon never existed.

If my memory and Wikia exploring is right the rebellion escaped from being hidden was because of Gordon right?

From my first impression, the OP could use some work. Then again, sometimes less is more and if you pull of the IC well and can keep a good story going that keeps people invested, you'll probably have a good thing going and don't need to put in extra work for the same results.

I comes across as something quickly set up after watching Akame ga kill (admittedly a brilliant series) and being completely entranced by it (admittedly completely understandable). Then you finish the series, but you are left wanting, so you decide to make your own story. I've felt like doing this countless times, too. Do correct me if this isn't the case.

A good rule of thumb for these situations might be to let it rest a bit and not give in to the initial "MOAR MOAR MOAR" urge that most of us understand all too well. Let it simmer, think about what you can do to make a cool RP out of it so you don't suddenly find yourself wondering "eh...what should I do next?".

So I plan on making a gamified version of a space exploration roleplay. Instead of a large map, I'd use excel/spreed sheets. The player would start in the center and expand to solar systems in any direction they choose. Blank spaces represent undiscovered systems, named systems represent places they found and potentially colonized location.

So what do I need help with. . . Some sort of gameplay so I can utilize planets in these systems. Originally I started with a percentage system, which denoted land-use and size. 100%, for instance, meant a plant was about earths size. Furthermore, you could dictate what you wanted that 100% to be industry wise. So if you wanted it; 3% would be Military Bases, 20% Agricultural Farmsteads, 7% Parks, etc. . . That being said, I have yet to come up with a system that can utilize this. Originally I had a system that focused around Industry, Agriculture, Population, & Military; but, once players could create their own custom categories the entire system when to shit. Since I want to give players to freedom to do as they please, I will need to find a better system.

Ah, this sounds like my department. Perhaps have all Sectors contribute a certain amount to various fixed metrics; say, Industry, Food Supply, Commerce, Contentment, and Research? Various sectors could add different benefits; a Heavy Industrial Sector could contribute, say, 2 Industry per % of the planet occupied, while decreasing Contentment and Food Supply by 1.
Quite the unofficial fellow. Former P2TM Mentor specializing in faction and nation RPs, as well as RPGs. Always happy to help.

None of you have probably heard of me before, but that's more because of I've never done P2TM RP. While this is partly my fault (I only check every so often here), I also haven't found an RP that interests me (probably my fault again).

I had an idea a while back that came from nowhere. Whilst I do all the standard WW1 and Nazi Germany history in school, I came across the Italian Unification by complete accident and decided that it might be a fun thing to RP. I have since been researching and reading about this topic and habe a fairly good understanding of how this happened. I have this idea, but I don't know whether it would actually interest anyone...

That's why I'm here - is there actually any interest in this, or is it just something that will die quickly never to be seen again.

I know that many of you will say: " Do a couple of RPs first. NS Sports RP/II isn't like P2TM. Get more experience then come back. Etc...."

I understand this view, but I have done many RPs, both on NS as Savalen and as my puppets, and off-site. Also, I will be co (hosting? - Co-OPing sounds weird) with an experienced RPer (if he decides to pull out, I'll either try to find someone else or shelve the idea till I have more experience).

Overall, that long paragraph was just about whether you guys would be interested in an Italian Unification RP.

RP INTEREST AND FEEDBACK REQUEST
Please provide as much detail as possible.
RP's Overarching Concept: Italian Unification
Genre/s: Historical/Alternate History
Character or Faction Based: Mostly faction, but I think that there can be prominent figures (eg. Poets, etc.). This concept may be a little difficult for my first hosting.
Detailed Description: Based on the Italian Unification, the RP starts in 1828, a year before the Duchy of Massa and Carrara was annexed by the Duchy of Modena and Reggio. However, in this case, this doesn't necessarily happen - it can, but that just depends on how it goes.
From there it is alt. history. Anything can happen (within reason). All factions on the Italian peninsula (I know it's not, I just wanted to give an area) can be controlled, as can France (cannot invade Italy though - border scuffles with the Kingdom of Sardinia are fine) and Venice, even though at this time they were part of Austria-Hungary. I will look at any other apps as they come (if they come). Also prominent figures (is this a good idea?). No Popes, play as the Papal States, but rather writers, philosophers, poets, etc.

Need Help With: Just feedback on whether you are interested and if the mix of character and faction RP is any good. Any other comments.

Yes. We need to flesh out story first besides that Gordon never existed.

If my memory and Wikia exploring is right the rebellion escaped from being hidden was because of Gordon right?

They rose up because of Gordon, so I suppose it'd be a universe where they didn't attack c17 either.
