Can someone help me please? I want to learn how to RP in a safe environment. Meaning I am to afraid to submit my work to some of the RP's I have much interested in this website and it's community. I Want to play here with everyone, a lot of the RP's are so great and the people here post great content. But I am not such a great writer and I want to ask for tips. maybe if i can submit my writing samples to someone to give me tips on how to improve myself? My end goal is to create presentable pieces of writing for the role plays on this website. I myself have been role playing for a time, but it is all in person. On Sunday nights at the bar me and my best friends play Shadow-run and other games before the bar opens to the public, for the last few years that has been my night out with the girls but I want to do it more often than once a week. I am good with getting into character! I just need help with my writing. And if this isn't the right place, I apologize, I looked and looked for a place for RP assistance, but most of the forums here are in fact dedicated to the 'actual' game of nation states. This was the closest I have seen that may offer some help. If this is not the place I would appropriate a reply so I can search elsewhere. Thank you exponentially for the time you took to read this!

Well, this may or may not be what you're looking for. It's a guide for roleplay creators that I used for my last RP. It's God given. Read it, and make sure to bookmark it for later use.

Genre/s: School, slice-of-life, comedy, lighthearted, sandbox
Character or Faction Based: Character-based
Detailed Description: This takes place in Shepard All-Girls Academy, a boarding school located in Vernon Heights, in the city of Fitzpatrick. Players take up the role of students attending the school doing average school things. However, there are traps in this school, some of which would make this seemingly average semester a lot more extraordinary. Good thing the administrators didn't catch any of the male traps yet. Whether that would mean good or bad is up to you.

Need Help With: Looking for interested parties, perhaps with one more Co-OP to add. Need some suggestions as well.

I'm confused. Is the 1600's covering an alternate timeline or is it supposed to be set in the Sengoku Jidai?

[The first Galactic Republic]

So I have an idea for a Star Wars RP. Yes I know what you're thinking. Another Star Wars RP? They're a dime a dozen. Let me explain why I think this one is worth existing.

The time period would be the New Sith Wars. Let me explain that real quick because googling it can lead to you thinking it is more complex than it actually is. The New Sith Wars were an EU time period where the Jedi and the Republic were at war with the Sith. Thing is rather than being at war with one Sith Order or Empire, they were at war with a bunch. Multiple Sith Lord all had their own factions. They all thought they were top dog. They fought each other, the Republic, and any faction that got in their way. Even if the Jedi and the Republic defeated one Sith Lord they hadn't weakened the others. Because of this decentralization the Sith could fight for a long time. The wars lasted a thousand years. Struggling to keep up with the strain of governing the galaxy and fighting the Sith the Republic devolved into an almost feudal society and was on the verge of collapse.

Not only were the Sith different, so were the Jedi. Centuries of war turned the order violent and militaristic. Jedi were rushed into battle at increasingly young ages and the order was more tolerant of things like romance and older padawans as it couldn't afford to discriminate. Jedi took direct command of the Republic military and ran its policies enforcing strict taxation, conscription, and holonet propaganda. Most notably the Jedi took control of entire regions of the galaxy to make up for the weakening Republic government. These regions were controlled by indivdiual Jedi who became known as Jedi Lords. It was essentially a feudal society with the Jedi on top. The Jedi Lords had their own council and didn't answer to the council on Coruscant. They essentially had unlimited power.

As a Star Wars fan I am in love with this time period. Everything good about Star Wars can fit into it. It has governments but they're weak. You can be part of a government or a criminal and they all co-exist in this galaxy. It has Jedi and Sith, and both organizations are decentralized. Dark Jedi, violent Jedi, grey Jedi, light-sided Sith, collective-minded Sith, opportunistic Starscream-esque back-stabbing Sith; not only is it all possible but it all makes sense. The Republic is waging total war against the Sith, yet both powers are so weak many regions of the galaxy don't know government. Some regions of the galaxy are ruled by the Republic or Sith, some are ravaged by wars, and some are lawless. Other powers like the Mandalorians and the Hutts operate freely. It's a galaxy with room for all kinds of adventures.

I'm not sure if factions would be allowed yet. All kinds of characters could exist. Sith, Jedi, Mercenaries, Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Soldiers, there's room for all kinds of characters here. This period in the EU also isn't very detailed, so there's lots of lore building the RP is free to do.

Not too shabby. Blending them isn't a problem apart from accounting for unit losses.

I'm a bit nervous to ask this, but would anyone be interested in a Percy Jackson and the Olympians roleplay? I don't think it would have an actual story to it, just the sons and daughters of gods and goddesses hanging out at Camp Half-Blood. I can probably throw some Romans into the mix as well. Of course, I'd be open to ideas.
