Interesting, but how would it work out? I am thinking of having it be a war between two religions with different attitudes towards magic.
Like our RL Crusade mixed with the witch hunts from the Dark Ages, where medieval knights are battling sorcerers instead of Muslims.

I guess you're right. But what is the point of worldbuilding a copy and paste version of Crusaders and Muslims when I can just use the real ones?

But yes, we can't make a similarity between Crusade and Barbarian Invasion (You can, but not when the Crusade was still about religion)

The Islamic World was significantly more advanced during the time period.

It's a reference, though, to many relatively modern interpretations of the Crusades.

Fun tweaks. It's why I do AH; plenty of good stuff in the real world, but it's possible to make it cooler.

Though I'd say that this interpretation is more justified than the "glorious Krischen kill dirty mussie" one, I'd also feel it's quite biased towards the Muslims, insofar as they fought the Christians in the Crusades.

It can't really be summed up to that, given that both sides had their virtues and faults. The crusaders intervened due to faith and to protect Byzantine territories, the Muslims fought for faith too.

Soo umm, anyone got any good ideas on how I should start my rp? Im at a loss. My help request is on the previous page from this one if that helps any.

Well after taking a look, I see that you definitely need to do some more worldbuilding. I recommend taking a look here for some guidance on that front.

Well I checked that out and theres not much its saying there that I havent allready done. I allready set down a paragraph and a half of a prolog indicating the situation the player would find themselves in and the history of how the region got to the way it was and a couple mentions of things to watch out for. Plus I have a more detailed ooc description explaining the situation and various creatures and situations to watch out for. Im not sure how much more world building I can do beyond that, given the IC portion isn't even started yet.

I already have down everything the thread suggests. History, region description, details on small things like animals and other things you might encounter... Not sure what else to put in without going overboard into the tiny details which it suggests not to do.

I don't think we should go much further than steampunk, myself, before Crusader aesthetic is unretrievable, so perhaps high-fantasy medieval?

RP's Overarching Concept: Protecting the World, it's a crossover between Power Rangers and Pokemon
Genre/s: Action/Adventure
Character or Faction Based: Character
Detailed Description: Somewhere near the end of Pokemon Red and Blue, Jesse, James and Meowth of Team Rocket were sent into another world by Arceus, the God of the Pokemon, as punishment for their deeds. Jesse and James were shocked to see Meowth with an even more human appearance. Unknown to Arceus, the rift had been left open, and Team Rocket managed to link the two worlds. They informed Giovanni, and he sent troops to help the trio, putting them in charge. They began to bring Pokemon from their home world into this world, where they gained power, and sent them to wreak havoc.

Meanwhile, Professor Oak, sporting five Pokedex's, stumbled upon the rift. Surprised to see Pokemon here, especially considering how human-like they were, he decided that more power would be needed to fight them. He quickly began working on the each Pokedex he had, and eventually created the PokeMorphers, which could grant humans the abilities of Pokemon. Oak went to get Ash, Misty, Brock and a few others, but realized they were busy in their own world fighting other Teams.

He knew that in order to defeat Team Rocket, he would have to recruit five warriors from this world, so he hosted a Pokemon tournament, after he learned that it was a video game here. The top five players were recruited and given the PokeMorphers, the powers of a single Pokemon, and the strength to fight off Team Rocket.
