Well, some time ago they were much more common. Just think of the 19th century threads we had!
Also, for one more example of changing trends, teen superheroes. Just remember the death of Of Men and Titans - that just marked the change.
The 18th-20th century threads period were a small fad that even I got somewhat annoyed at. I wouldn't say they meant to much for the overall trend.
I'd say that nation RPs have always been about 37.5%-25% of the community, which is actually still reflected fairly well on the front page even now.
I mean, if you want to go back to say, here, you can count the proportion, or even go back further. The thing about them is that they are as different to character RPs as some subforums are to others. They're not a genre so much as a format.Gvozdevsk wrote:I still see most nation RPs as poorly made with plots somewhere along the lines of "its the present day ww3 started russia is communist again pick a country im usa"
Noobs are plentiful everywhere.

If you are quoting from Council of the Multiverse, maybe you should post in Council of the Multiverse. otherwise it makes little sense.

Kudos.

Well, what I've got so far is this: it's set in the Rione Sanità, a poor area of Naples. I'm planning for most of the characters to be nuns, though there can be a few other characters, and they are well-integrated into the community as both caregivers and authorities. There is, of course, one twist: nuns can produce miracles. It's not really magic in the sense that most RPs employ it, but more like gifts granted by God/saints/angels/whatever mixed in with a bit of Italian witchcraft, and is not used very frequently (simply because that would be an abuse of the miracles, and God would probably stop granting them). I'm also planning for there to be references to Italian folklore, though as of now I'm not completely sure how that element will play into the plot.

Hmm... sounds interesting. I should probably avoid usingthe Anti-ChristMagdalene for this one.

Mhmm, probably. I'll have to see if there's any way she could fit into the plot (which at this stage is just a few thoughts floating around in my brain). Either way, if you'd like I can let you know when it's ready.
