Dial up was the shit. You had wonky sounds, loading a page took like a year, and the connection broke down if someone used the phone in the house.

There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination.

Say what? It was awesome. I was eight when my folks got their first computer, and none of us really knew what to do with it. You had to be careful how long you were on the 'net, because it cost a fortune to use it, so I basically used it to play preinstalled game demos and draw shapes on Paint, and occasionally freak the hell out when the thing crashed.

Doesn't sound like much, but it sure was enough to amuse a kid of eight summers.

My first computer was an iMac. You know, the old ones of the turn of the millennium, colored in the backside. Mine was green.

After a while, dad switched it for an Hewlett Packard. Oh, I remember how cool that PC was. Initially, it ran Windows 98 but we updated it to XP right when it came out.

Oh, the feels :(

More pleasantly, I believe I was one of the first people in Italy to have access to Wi-Fi. Shit, I had fast internet in a period where almost no one did have a modem or even a wire connection at all.

We had those colorful iMac things at my elementary school. There were green ones, yeah, but also pink and... blue, I think?

Windows 8.1. Just deactivate Metro with an easy to use and stable utility (and there's lot of them) and you'll get an OS which is GUI-wise identical to 7 but outperforms it in every way possible.

Windows 7. Not an ideological choice of any sort, just what came bundled with my now 4-year old craptop. I've considered changing to Linux since I don't use this for gaming, but can't be arsed, honestly.

If we go smartphone OS, Android. And this one I'm fanatical about.

Great list, thanks! So many choices, though.

My only gripe with Android is, strangely enough, the amount of possible customization. There's just too much for a guy like me, who likes to have everything just the way he wants. And I haven't even touched custom ROMs or kernels yet.

I feel you. On the one hand, I'm certain it will rape canon.

On the other hand, it'll still be a great movie.

Yep yep and yep. I prefer Canon over the rest of this bollocks. The original was filled to the brim with filler enough as it was. no need to add so much more.
