Well, I wouldn't go quite that far, and I'm here pretty much exclusively P2TM as a general rule of thumb has good folks, but II has some swell fellows too, if you get past the morass of nuking and sudden wars over diplomatic niceties.

II is like our alcoholic cousin. It can be nice and even clever when it's lucid, but most of the time, it's an embarrassing mass of nonsense that we pretend isn't related to us.

Ehh, it's almost an unspoken rule that playing as your NS nation, no matter in what context, should be left to II.
We don't want to be related to that side of the forum.

That said, the point of this subforum is sort of that you aren't playing as your NS nation.

The important thing about II other than being our alcoholic cousin is that we mock it, perhaps too often.

And as for playing NS nation; it really depends. Those who do and are good at it have probably found each other in II, that is to say, they wouldn't be in P2TM. You wouldn't be able to do it here since nobody would be interested.

I mean, if it's outside of your actual canon, then it's not really your nation, surely? I thought people would sometimes create several II canons for different time periods/RPs, even.

Oh I do; my sig has all of those. But I've done RPs here using my FT II nations; they're internally consistent, but set in different external circumstances. So the nation "is" my II nation, but lacks the II canon background of other nations.
