We need new blood, people.

What's the point of trying to draw in new blood with what we all pretty much agree are the most hackneyed and overused story templates?

Because it might well only seem hackneyed to people who've dealt with it for so long, like us (or at least most of you?)

Though, to be honest, I do contemplate doing one of those "pick a country from this map the year is X" RPs, even if I only encourage rather than OP it.

Yeah, but music doesn't really translate well into written form. And you'd have to come up with original lyrics and shit, and personally, its hard for me to appreciate lyrics without the music to back them up, and how many of us are musically talented enough to both be in a well-written RP about a band, and make the music for said band? Assuming we're not talking about RPing bands and music that already exist, which seems rather pointless, unoriginal, and contradicts the "well-written" thing.
