Oh, I just tell them I don't want children until I can stand on my feet and be able to financially support a family.

I feel ready to have a child psychologically and emotionally, I just don't feel financially capable to bear the brunt of it.

My sister and I agreed that we would not have children until after one year of marriage and at the age of 24 at the very earliest.

I don't think about it. Not my problem right now and I don't have contact often enough with any of my family to hear their opinion on anything.

Bah, you just want more out of life. You'll settle down when the time's right. ;)

I really don't want much more than to have a peaceful existence: a decent house, car, and a decent job that helps pay the bills plus a bit of luxuries and/or the ability to travel at least once a year/save for any emergency up to a year; and to have peace of mind and be able to marry someone who loves me back.

I'm working towards all that myself right now :p

Hey, I like that. I think that's very smart. Have a stable relationship to bring the child into, be old enough to have established yourself in a job and finished college, have the economic solvency to be able to properly care for another human being, one that's quite defenseless all on its own.

If I marry, I plan the same thing. Albeit my motives are far more egocentric and selfish. I just don't want the economic burden and responsibility that comes along with children. I'd much rather spend my cash on myself. :p

Gallo and I have been discussing children. I'm not ready, and I'm soon to be 34. But we've been married only 4 years. We're still enjoying marriage. Having kids will be a complication. We're not where we wanna be yet. Once we do, we may have children.

That's a good thing. I want to marry, but I just don't want to settle down and have children yet. Cameron is 31 and we're nowhere ready to either marry or have a child yet. We may be living together soon once she graduates and we both hold a decent job in the market.
