Xekliv wrote:"The reason our soldiers wear gas masks and CBRNTDe-equipped helmets is not specifically due to the notion of hazardous environments, but actually an insult. To wear a mask that filters out the oxygen of an enemy world says that the air on their planet is unfit to breathe, and unworthy of passage into our lungs. This is why every single member of the legion has their face concealed by a filtration mask when on the battlefield, no matter the actual breathability of the air."

"Dmitri Fyodorovich Polyakov was one of the greatest spies for the West ever to be acknowledged before the public. Beginning his service as a Red Army artillery officer, he moved into the GRU in the aftermath of the Second World War, a shift which gave him enormous access to vital information and state secrets. During a trip to New York City he was coopted by American intelligence in the area, and he willingly began spying for the Americans, a mission he would undertake for almost thirty years. Unlike most Soviets who helped the West, he demanded no compensation and insisted on remaining in place even when his American handlers became concerned for his safety. He was eventually discharged from the GRU when his superiors grew suspicious. Even then with it being near-certain he would be caught, he made no effort to escape, perhaps fearing reprisal against his family even if he got away. When invited to a belated retirement party, he went to it in spite of warnings from his son, also an intelligence officer, of it being a trap. Once there, he was arrested. Charged with treason, he was executed in March of 1988, a true blow to the cause in the NATO alliance. That day, the Soviets killed a true patriot."

"Mommy, where do babies come from?
They uhh... they, umm... well, when a man and a woman love each other very much-
The government harvests their sexual organs and place them an artificial circulation system, where they fire small clods of semen produced with synthetic testosterone at ovums that are periodically pumped out with synthetic estrogen until a fetus is produced. The embryo removed and grown within a vat of nutrients until it finally is harvested and planted among the population with a specially trained surrogate mother and father to alienate them from their heritage."

Putin has flagrantly rigged various votes, has destroyed freedom of speech and civil rights, he arrests oligarchs(which I'd expect to be utterly abhorrent to you laissez-faire types), blatantly lies, harasses his neighbors... he commits various war crimes, you're wrong about freedom of religion in Russia, and while he may have improved Russian border security he doesn't respect the border security or national integrity of his neighbors- he also hijacks legitimate causes to force obedience on his neighbors, and then doesn't particularly care about them any more... he also uses tactics that are wholly underhanded tactics when there are no legitimate causes to discredit. You hate us because we are not like you, and you see your ideals as the only logical ones out there, so most people, being logical, must think like you because, why would they not? "The argument in question was directed at Julissa Hickman, a heavily-armed libertarian who is very insistent that the government needs to remain as weak as possible lest tyranny become inevitable. By illustrating the fact that Vladimir Putin runs an oppressive faux-democracy that tramples its people and lies to the world, I was arguing against her, because she should presumably find such things to be abhorrent. There are, however, people like you and the Mackonians, who admire dictatorial asshats, and would thus consider Putin's belligerent and autocratic policies a good thing, and not a bad thing. So the argument I've used isn't directed at you, because you would view that argument- that Putin is a massive cunt who needs to be stopped- as a commendation, not a condemnation."
