The problem of homelessness in the world is not some unique feature to developing countries.
Here in America we also have homeless children. As a matter of fact, I did my volunteering hours for my teaching associate's at the only school in Dallas where homeless children can go.
Nobody talks about them because everyone thinks America has no homeless people, but we do.

Eh, people who think there aren't homeless or poor children in the US is seriously misguided. This may be a first world country, but it has children who go to bed, every night, without food. There are children in this country who only eat, regularly, when school's in secession.
There are places in the US where poverty levels are outstanding.

Indeed, here in Dallas is also why our district is also very reluctant on closing even while snowing. I did not know until I was on the teaching program that several kids depend on those meals to go along the day. It was heart-wrenching to realize that several people here in America lack things that I take for granted.

The town I live is fairy affluent, but the outskirts of the county have several areas where poverty is the rule.

The Dallas county is one of the economic hubs of the nation and we have these issues, so for us down here is not only a problem out in the outskirts of the county like Farmer's Branch or Plano but a very metropolitan issue.

My county is the roughly the size of the Gaza strip. In other words, not very big.

A judge should not be playing politics, as their job is to uphold the law, not get constituents on their side.

I just wish these elections were held once every 4 years too. Not every 2.

She was already batty as hell when she said (towards Hillary Clinton) that the US "isn't ready for a female president)

THANK YOU!
I am so seriously fucking tired of the people who use that train of thought to say that the justices of the Supreme Court should be elected.

I need to renew my driver's license before the end of May, and that updates my voting information too. Which I like. That way, I don't have to go to 20 places to do what I need to do.

I really wonder how Texas will turn out these Senate elections though; we're beginning to become a battleground state (which means we get to be pestered by both Republicans and Democrats in elections! Yay!) so this senate elections will be an interesting experiment in demographics and how the opinion of the state is changing.
