It won't grow any longer BECAUSE you haven't had a haircut. You've got hella dead ends if you haven't cut it, and when your hair had dead ends it won't grow. You're probably also not feeding it properly.

I don't want it to grow any longer, so the status quo is fine. I don't particularly care for the length. I'm just too lazy to actually bother getting a haircut.

Well, there wasn't a lot of news back then. This tribe, that tribe, a couple of domesticated animals ... easy to catch up. My hair got really long, though.

I keep my hair very short, or shave my head completely, depending on the mood and the season. It helps wash out the mud easier. *nod*
