I was rejected in the first fifteen minutes but there was enough positive crap on my name to let me in, albeit tentatively.

I was instantly accepted. No idea why though.

I don't find it appealing to me because it implies exclusivity - an instant turn off.

I prefer an open community rather than a membership club.

Eh. I sorta understand why they applied that as a rule for joining. After all, many of the people who left and joined did so because they had serious misgivings about the way membership works in NS, among other things that are better not discussed right now. Many didn't consider that civilized debate is possible here.

So instead of having a place where debate can flourish, they make a "yay we are all best friends" club and hiss at anyone who gets near.

I see it now. Not really interested in a popularity contest with other NSers. That's part of my issues with certain people on NS. If you aren't "popular" then they don't like you or even care to admit you exist.

Well, I'd rather it be one I can take with me to another provider if I must. Don't remember the term. Currently, we're on a family plan on AT&T.

I think AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile also have options for CDMA no?
