It's cold and rainy here today after a warm, spring-like weekend. I hate this time of year. But, we suffer through the 44F and rain today, we get 70F and sun tomorrow. I also love this time of year at the same time.

Let's see... the Russian army is there in Crimea illegally, violating the sovereignty of Ukraine while simultaneously and unsurprisingly, there suddenly came a motion to vote to separate from Ukraine and become part of Russia. Doesn't sound rigged at all.

But can it be considered self-determination when your in the presence of troops from another nation. In particular the nation which you're voting to join? Self-determination is great, but, this doesn't sound all that fair. Besides, Crimean peoples were evicted from their homes under Stalin because he claimed they sympathized with the Nazi's. There weren't many ethnic Russians there before Stalin.
