Age is another important factor. Say you want to talk to a therapist as a 17 year old, but client confidentiality only kicks in when you're 18. Unless there's something actually important to tell the parents (say, suicide risk), it should remain private, but it won't if the parents investigate.

Here in the U.S. we have made several revisions to confidentiality laws.

I know, but theres nothing humerus about a doctor or lawyer offing it - package delivery has potential in my sick, weakly mind

I think it should apply since you are at the very least 16 and are seeking a medical or law service.
