I tried EverNote at one point just to check out the competition. Didn't quite catch my attention like OneNote. I've used OneNote for 3-ish years now (probably closer to 4). oh yea, it's one of the few programs I would actually advice to use to anyone for note-taking. It's the best I have found myself as well.

Went from ~20 to ~200 nations practically overnight. And then again from ~200 to ~500 during Halloween. I predict that we will go from ~500 to ~1k next Halloween.

Typing or recording the lecture is easier for me because my hand cramps with my style of writing (damn you right-handed writing Western style).

I know of some teachers here in the U.S. who are suggesting that writing will be a dead art soon.
