The UK rail service is fantastic. Here trains leave 20 minutes late and the lines aren't connected to each other. It takes six hours to get from Galway to Dublin by train. It's an hour by car or 2 hours by bus.

I've often ended up with my train stuck between stops, once for almost 45 minutes. It's hardly fantastic for what should be a first world rail service.

I have yet to have a problem with them, and I am in the UK at least once a year. Perspective is all I'm saying.
