http://www.healthcentral.com/heart-dise ... champagne/ Here's one for you.
Fact: Louis XIV of France drank a lot of Champagne and died at the age of 76.
I've got two grandparents and nearly a dozen great-uncles at least as old as 76, with many of them older. Guess what? They don't drink wine. They live in Africa. They work hard. They aren't retired in some retirement home. Instead, as elders, the work even more, supervising community work and helping their relatives.
People drink wine because they want to, not because it helps them live longer. I can think of a dozen places where I've heard chocolate is healthy. But I eat it because I like it, not for the health benefits. You want to live longer, put down the bottle of wine, and go get some exercise before you end up rolling into an emergency room on a stretch cause you had "only two drinks" and got in a car accident. It happens to even the most casual drinkers. Don't drink alcohol.

1.Red wine and beer was historically healthy, until we figured out how to purify water.
2.Chocolate is healthy too, the Aztecs even had a chocolate drink that allowed you to work for 1-2 days without food.

In Crusader Kings II, the Russians do the same things - Someone forms Rus, Rus falls apart, someone forms Ruthenia, Ruthenia falls apart, Poland expands into Russia, and commence the Hordes.
I tend to get bored with my games and quit around the mid 16th century to early 17th century.
As for CK2, same. The Russians are too unstable to form any long lasting unions. Not as unstable as the English, though. Jesus fucking Christ. England.
So are you some kind of Morrissey themed ad-bot, then?

England can't stay together for two seconds. Especially if William becomes King. I once played as Scotland (started as Malcolm, Earl of Strathclyde) - I had Trondelag, Jerusalem, I WAS GOING TO INHERIT FRANCE BUT NO, and in 1200, England was independent dukes and duchesses all of heretical faith. Perfect.

My William game was pretty fucking difficult, I can tell you. I was able to keep hold of England, though, but stopped playing sometime in the mid 12th century.Mozzissey wrote:It's those goddamn politically aware peasant communes I tell ya! And comet sighted!
Europa Universalis. The worlds first ever comet sighting simulator.
