A beauty of an ice storm came through here. And there might be up to a foot of snow, flooding rains (due to the eight inches of snow and quarter inch of ice on top of frozen ground), or an inch of freezing rain coming. Damn, I hope it isn't freezing rain on Sunday as it would be the worst ice storm since Montreal in the late 1990s.

It's just on nasty storm after another. Near record cold on one side of the storm in places like Michigan's UP with heavy snow and apparent temperatures approaching -30C and record warmth in New York City and Philadelphia on the other side. A slight shift south will leave snow in massive amounts. A slight shift to the north and it is around 10C with up to five inches of rain causing massive flooding. Quite possible a tornado outbreak could emerge to my south in Ohio and Indiana.
