Can't even name one that isn't. South Africa doesn't count. It has LGBT rights legalized, but the majority of the populace is very hateful toward non-straight people. Correctional rape remains the norm against South African lesbians.

On the bright side, the trend is that homophobia and transphobia has been decreasing ever since LGBT rights were legalized in South Africa. Ending institutionalized discrimination takes away the main support societal discrimination rests upon.

How is it racist? Being a mostly-black continent doesn't give it a free pass to discriminate, jail, or even execute another minority. It sure as hell doesn't make them free from criticism.

Oh, yeah, we need to colonize them because theyre primitive and uncivilized and need to have Christianity and European values forced upon them for theyre own good. and again I realize you weren't trying to make a racist statement, and I'm not normally so pc about such things, the wording just struck me as questionable that's all.

Yeah, you posted that while i was typing my own reply. That said, at the end of the day it is "ok" to discriminate on a personal level. I mean there are still racists in the usa (not a lot but certainly some) and there likely always will be and while most people view it as irrational and stupid it's not nor should it be in anyway illegal (actually there are a few caveats here but I don't have the time to list them). If your goal is ultimately total eradication of societal discrimination I can pretty well gurantee you are in for a disappointment.

The people suggesting to colonize Africa are overlooking how the majority of anti-LGBT laws across Africa are leftovers from the colonial era, much like how Singapore's "barbaric" caning is a leftover law from when it was a British colony.

But I'm an imperialist with honestly ethnocentric viewpoints. I actually wouldn't mind recolonizing Africa (only after we take the Middle East, though) without the Christianity aspect. Someone's gotta set 'em straight...

Just be glad people with my views are a minority and just see Africa for the homophobic hellhole it is.
