So, on a a scale of 1 to 10 how bad of an idea is it for me to still go to the gym tomorrow even with a broken rib?

Because I want to lose another... 20 lbs if possible, and I really don't want to use this rib as an excuse not to exercise.

Try not to over exert yourself, you don't want to make the injury worse. But by all means, if you want to exercise, exercise. Just be kind to your poor little rib.

dude, go with a vegetarian diet, with half hour cardio and half hour resistance.

really, is not that complicated, but aim for a realistic goal like at least 6 months or so.

If I eat half as much, and exercise twice as much, can I get there in three months?

You'll just trigger your body's "starvation" mode and make your metabolism go down, which will make it more difficult.

Keep in mind your body needs a minimum of calories to function, and for someone under heavy exercise (like, doing exercise five days a week for an hour) the estimated is about 1.5 times the required amount of calories. I need to consume a bit over 1800 to keep my muscle mass and lose weight just fine for instance and I diversify what I eat.

Then again I do light exercise.
