A final revolution will be initiated. From Tian'anmen to Shenzhen, from Shanghai to Chengdu, the voice of youth shall resonate and finally bring China back to greatness and prosperity. Dr. Sun Yat Sen would smile.
Idealistic, but wouldn't that be lovely. Then perhaps the ROC and a reformed PRC can rethink their diplomatic policies and actually try admitting that they miss each other for once.

Then we can get to the business of ridding the Middle Realm of that Maoist "March of the Volunteers" garbage and in its place install Sun Yat Sen's "Three Principles".
Then we can move on to Sino-fying the ASEAN as one Greater China.

I know I should be used to it by now, but I'm still blown away by how much people in foreign countries know of US pop culture/comedy/etc. when compared to how virtually incompetent we are in regards to such (glaring exceptions like 'Gangnam Style' and 'anime' as a genre notwithstanding).

Mao wasn't too bad. This iner circle was deplorable. Even moreso the group of four. And Zhou Enlai... [sob]
I know Indonesia's a Muslim-majority country, but this I did not know. cx Not that I have any problems with Muslims though - a bunch of my friends subscribe to the religion and they're great. Tbh though, I don't see aggressive Sino-zation as a possibility, even with a cooperating ROC and PRC. At best it would be a cultural spead - like a Chinatown in every city, and large Chinese communities. cx China, while cocky, is not one for war.

To be fair, the US exported a lot of its culture and its ethnocentrism when they did their work in Korea, and in Japan following WWII. ^^ Korea's westernizing rapidly, and although Japan would rather hi-jack Western subculture and assimilate it into its own culture with a localized twist, the US remains a big socio-cultural player in the region. While East Asia may be on a roll, the US's role in its development has pretty much been burned into the history books. cx
